Wow you so excited haha. I wanted to buy from Fantastic too but the timing is totally off. They close at 7pm so I can't reach them in time, earlier hours don't have stock, delivery around 5pm when I am going home from office. Sigh. RM845 with 4GB card and various freebies is a good deal indeed. Planning to get it from Eaglecom SS2. RM799 without microSD, RM830 with 4GB.

Yesterday I also kena the same problem. I tried to switch on after flight landing but it stuck at IDEOS screen until the battery got warm. I tried to take out the battery and restart again but also cannot solve. At last, i reset to factory setting and all back to normal (just like the first time boot screen). To reset, take out battery, put battery back, hold Volume Up and Power key simultaneously, the recovery screen will come out.

I have no idea which applications caused this problem because I install too much!

You can try at Sunway Pyramid shop (IMCC). For RM899, you get the phone (2 year warranty), casing, screen protector, pouch, car holder / charger. I asked to swap the car holder / charger for a 8GB SD card (Class 4) instead. I thought that is a fairly good deal. Maybe you can negotiate for a even better deal.

I see most of the boxes at the shops are open (not sealed with sticker or wrapping). Not sure why. Maybe they test the units? Or it comes from the supplier like that. Anyway, make sure the warranty card is there and they fill it in etc.

Don't put in your SIM card initially so that your credits don't get deducted accidentally. You can connect to home wifi etc to test out internet without using the SIM card. Once you have found all the necessary settings etc, then you can put in the SIM card.

your case similar to mine back days.
follow cruzzmz method and it should solve the problem. or you can just flash to custom rom if you want.

Guys, help me. I cant connect to internet using usb thetered connection. My laptop can connect to my phone but it cannot connetc to internet. There's a yellow exlaimation mark. I'm using win7 64 bit btw. Any solution?

my android market keep stop at starting download. anyone experience this? pls help

btw, wat is the benefit of flashing rom? and wat is actly flashing rom? overclock?

oh. the one of the benefit of custom rom is customization. its not an overclock. but overclock require custom rom. overclock is increase of the cpu speed. but custom rom basically can increase your performance and speed. with that you need to root your device. but the downside of it, some custom rom not stable and got minor bug, eg, like oxygen rom, usb tethering cannot working, etc. but it will have update near future to fix the bug. read at front page, or visit xda dev for more info and understanding.

btw, does who on the oxygen rom. do you guys notice that the media volume seem slow compare to stock rom. eg, 50% media volume on stock rom same like 80% volume on oxygen rom.

but when i use oxygen .. is very smooth . but got usb , movie playback 720p and game graphic problem . games lagg thou . play 720p sometimes got error .

around 30minute or 1hour..

hmm.. i play around 30 - 40 mins seem fine.
nvm. will update soon if i facing reboot with it.

Added on August 18, 2011, 8:42 pmer.. graphic problem? oxygen got top notch graphic compare to stock rom. and the games run real smooth. im not facing any lagging before this. about the 720p movie, agree with you. bryanjs also face that prob.

for me the main issue for oxygen is,
- usb connected crash [sometimes]
- rotate sensor took forever to rotate [make this impossible to play sensor base game ],
- usb tether not work!!
- cannot send MMS! [can someone verify this. i try sending MMS to my sis phone, but she cant receive. vice versa]

anybody tried using the X5 wifi with enterprise wifi? IEEE8021X, TTLS and PAP. i tried wpa_supplicant files from b160 and void. not sure anyone else uses the phone with enterprise wifi

i know it had to be 'rebuild' to fix the bug, bt i know nuts about linux...

else will have to wait for the 2.3.x =(
