QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Aug 2 2011, 08:57 AM) If worried about brand, dont bother with this phone. Get the Ace if you want brand. Different story IF you can look beyond the brand. Are you saying if we can look beyond the brand, the Ideos is a perfect phone? Of course not. Surely you can be more helpful by being more specific?

QUOTE(ShengHow @ Aug 6 2011, 02:53 PM) haha you must be kidding huawei got no ap phone in malaysia i think such questions you should google or look for it at huawei official website? I know, I am saying the process is like buying AP phone since you have to bring the phone back to the shop you bought it from. Look at Huawei website, sure I will do that, I thought the Huawei owners here are more familiar with this kind of thing. Apparently not

QUOTE(ShengHow @ Aug 6 2011, 05:03 PM) hmm.. i see but u can send the phone to the service centre also depend on which place is more convenient to you haha we're familiar with x5 but not huawei when u buy a vegetable will you ask the consumer how much is the vegetable? obviously no you'll ask the buyer for in details for sure Familiar with X5 but not Huawei? What are you talking about? One of the questions I ask when I want to buy a phone is where the service center is, to see how convenient it is to send for warranty, no matter Samsung, HTC, SE, Nokia or whatever. I'm the buyer AND the consumer. So someone gave you the phone? Your daddy will send phone for warranty for you? Anyway, no need to reply, I've found the answer myself, only 1 service center in Klang Valley.

Those normal 700MB AVI files working smoothly? HK drama RMVB also smooth? So Viber does not work well with X5

QUOTE(zeckt @ Aug 16 2011, 12:26 AM) Any review for X5? Pros and Cons? Currently considering between Ideos X5 and Mi410 because they said Mi410 is Ideos X6. Why Mi410 cheaper than X5? Kinda weird Thanks for answering From the official Mi410 thread, it seems like the phone has a lot of problems. Laggy stock UI, dead pixels, etc. The general feeling: hey it's cheap, buy one and maybe you'll get lucky

QUOTE(zeckt @ Aug 16 2011, 12:56 PM) Really? Oh, it's decided then. What's the standard pricing for X5? Look at the garage sale range is about RM850~999 Ya, you see this X6 thread, the phone quality seems unpredictable. And look at the last pic http://androidforums.com/huawei-ideos-x6-u...tc-reviews.htmlThis shop offer not bad. Delivery RM10. IDEOS X5 - RM 829 (NO MEMORY CARD) / RM 845 (4GB) BLACK / WHITE http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1456101/+2020I think this is the Subang shop selling X5 at RM799. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1943509

QUOTE(mylinear @ Aug 17 2011, 03:09 PM) Welcome. The lists should help others not in KL/Pj area to find shops selling this model. You can call and find out the prices from various shops. Currently, the prices seem to range from RM799 to RM899. Some are standard package, some include extras such as external SD card. Some say 1 year warranty, but standard is 2 years. So ask and check with the shops. The price is RM799 for standard package at the shop at Subang SS15 and PJ SS2. Some sell at RM845-850 with 4GB card. Some sell at RM899 with casing. Some provide extra free accessories such as car charger etc, some don't. So depends on what package you want to get, not necessarily the cheapest price alone. The above is a guide only. Please double check latest prices (and especially the warranty period) at the shops. Does a 4GB memory card come with the standard package?

QUOTE(ShengHow @ Aug 18 2011, 08:47 AM) gogogo quickly buy it's a will-not-regret-phone It's a will-not-regret phone until the next best-bang-for-the-buck phone comes out. 8 months ago it was the LG Optimus One. 6 months ago it was Samsung Galaxy Ace. 3 months ago (till now) it's Huawei Ideos X5. So, unless one can wait, should just get X5 Next best budget phone will probably the Huawei Vision...

QUOTE(harrie @ Aug 18 2011, 09:13 AM) Hey guys, b4 i get the x5..how to disabled it to download any data so that my credit wont gone in a minute..haha! and what should i check when it's hand on. Settings > Wireless and Networks > Enable packet data or something similar. Maybe the owners can give you the exact wording. Don't put in your SIM card on startup. When I bought my previous phone, it was enabled by default, and the phone language was in BM. I hard a hard time disabling it, and I can see the EDGE logo at the notification bar. Money trickling out while I searched

QUOTE(harrie @ Aug 18 2011, 01:32 PM) Yay! get it soon at 5pm...hope everything goes well~^^ bless me ya XD Wow you so excited haha. I wanted to buy from Fantastic too but the timing is totally off. They close at 7pm so I can't reach them in time, earlier hours don't have stock, delivery around 5pm when I am going home from office. Sigh. RM845 with 4GB card and various freebies is a good deal indeed. Planning to get it from Eaglecom SS2. RM799 without microSD, RM830 with 4GB.
