Sorry, this not-so-friendly shop not selling it.
This is supposedly the shop which sells at RM799 - Subang Jaya
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1943509

This one sells at RM845 with car charger, car holder, etc (or RM829 without memory card) - Kepong (delivery is RM10)
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1456101/+2020

This one is RM850 with car charger, car holder, etc (but got a thread somewhere saying don't buy from this shop) - Sunway Pyramid
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1862847

This one RM870 - location unknown
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...72510&hl=huawei

I'm probably getting one today from either of the first 2 shops.  BTW, originally it comes with what capacity microSD?

Welcome. The lists should help others not in KL/Pj area to find shops selling this model. You can call and find out the prices from various shops.

Currently, the prices seem to range from RM799 to RM899. Some are standard package, some include extras such as external SD card. Some say 1 year warranty, but standard is 2 years. So ask and check with the shops.

The price is RM799 for standard package at the shop at Subang SS15 and PJ SS2. Some sell at RM845-850 with 4GB card. Some sell at RM899 with casing. Some provide extra free accessories such as car charger etc, some don't. So depends on what package you want to get, not necessarily the cheapest price alone.

The above is a guide only. Please double check latest prices (and especially the warranty period) at the shops.

Thanks!!  Any idea on which shops provide the best deals?  Saw shops in Midvalley selling for RM899, which is retail  sweat.gif

The MidValley shop at RM899 is the standard package. That is the RRP for this model. I read that in early July when Huawei had a road-show, they were selling at RM899 plus a 4GB card. I don't think the MidVally shop includes any accessories, they may give a 2Gb card if you ask.

Depending on what items you want. If you want the standard package alone without free gifts at the cheapest price, try asking the Subang SS15 and PJ SS2 shops which is at RM799.

If you want other items, and are willing to run around, then you can get the RM799 then go buy a casing or external SD car elswhere to keep the total price as low as possible.

The shop in Sunway Pyramid also has the suitable casing for this model. The casing is not available (or not easy to find) at Low yat Plaza. The casing is around RM50.

So, it really depends on what exact package you are looking for. And please check on the 1 or 2 year warranty also. I rather pay a little extra for the standard 2 year warranty tan to pay less for the 1 year warranty.

Does a 4GB memory card come with the standard package?
*
It did during the Huawei road-show for RM899. But not anymore I think. The Sunway Pyramid shop at RM899 gives you a choice of either casing or 4GB card.

There are 4-5 shops in Low Yat selling this model. A couple of them are at RM899 standard package (no extra card). One was at RM850 with 4GB card, but said 1 year warranty. Not sure if that was a mistake on their part, or that's why the price was less.

Another shop in Sunway Pyramid is priced at RM880 standard package with a 4GB external card. The Amcorp Mall shop is at RM850 for standard package. Some shops may say they need a day or two to get stock, so call and check.

Wow you so excited haha.  I wanted to buy from Fantastic too but the timing is totally off.  They close at 7pm so I can't reach them in time, earlier hours don't have stock, delivery around 5pm when I am going home from office.  Sigh.  RM845 with 4GB card and various freebies is a good deal indeed.  Planning to get it from Eaglecom SS2.  RM799 without microSD, RM830 with 4GB.

You can try at Sunway Pyramid shop (IMCC). For RM899, you get the phone (2 year warranty), casing, screen protector, pouch, car holder / charger. I asked to swap the car holder / charger for a 8GB SD card (Class 4) instead. I thought that is a fairly good deal. Maybe you can negotiate for a even better deal.

I see most of the boxes at the shops are open (not sealed with sticker or wrapping). Not sure why. Maybe they test the units? Or it comes from the supplier like that. Anyway, make sure the warranty card is there and they fill it in etc.

Don't put in your SIM card initially so that your credits don't get deducted accidentally. You can connect to home wifi etc to test out internet without using the SIM card. Once you have found all the necessary settings etc, then you can put in the SIM card.

media/audio/alarms

Actually, you can also just have the following directories either in the int-SD or ext-SD.
/alarms
/notifications
/ringtones

harrie, you are asking many questions but don't seem to be getting the answers you are wanting. I don't know about this custom rom thing, so I cannot help. But I suggest you read some old posts where there may be answers for you.

For example, go to this link and see post #930 by ShenHow. Follow the thread from there where he also asked many similar questions and got answers. Maybe those answers will help you too.

can i know the battery , how good ? if let say just use for normal usage phone..(maybe talk 2-5min onli )
no wife / no gps what-so-ever..

can over 2-3days ? if can... veli good d..

I estimate 15-20% battery discharge per day when the phone is powered on and in standby / sleep mode with no activity or very little usage like you said. So should last about 4-5 days as you can fully charge again when it goes down to 15-20%.
