Hye. I'm planning to get this x5 soon. My 1st android phone though. Juz wanna ask if i buy this do i need to do something to it?
For eg: some people root their phone. I mean if i buy & want to use w/out changing nothing is it okay? (performance)
Sorry i'm kinda noob when it comes to exploring new gadget.

haha. same to me. before this thinking to grab galaxy ace. and i was like to buy the galaxy ace in the next day. but that night got someone recommend me x5. thinking couple hours, in the next day i cancel galaxy ace, then bought x5. hehe..

i'm using default rom that comes with the phone. anyhow, i got that fixed by installing pdanet. the problem is due to the dns server that is set to google. using padnet i just un-tick the google DNS server, and walla, now i can connect to internet from my laptop.

waa. so fast changing ur mind. hehe. so far, hows the fon? did u change/add anything? btw where did u buy & how much?

about franco Kernel, do need to flash anything?

afaik, just the kernel alone rite? i just flash the latest kernel. so far, seem fine.

haha. cannot wait ady bro. the phone was great. better than i expected. in stock rom also fast. no lag. but some hd game lag abit. but i want more power. so i flash it to oxygen rom, oc to 1.2ghz. now satisfy.
buy with IIMC, at RM850, without memory card. but they give me Nokia car holder and car charger. then i sell the car kit here. so basically, i get my unit at RM799.

i bought it with RM845..included 4gb memory card. got pouch, screen protector,car holder, car charger as free gift. and i actually went there earlier abit...then wait for the phone reach XD

yup. i buy nillkin hardcase together with the phone at RM50 from IIMC, and will buy it more from here. suggest to you grab the casing fast before bulk closed. coz the casing is hard to get here. only IIMC sell hardcase and softcase, while lhongwuh sell the softcase. and the price quite expensive. get from bulk to enjoy nice price.

yeah. you should fine with stock rom. it already fast out of the box. no worries.
