Guys, needs help from the pros here..
I'm looking for lightweight laptop preferably 12' or 13' either netbook or notebook.
Usage: work, hd movies , web surfing and maybe light gaming.
Max Price range is RM2K plus.

Performance-wise, the Acer TimelineX 3830Tg would be the best (by a huge margin summore)...
But there are heat and throttling issues associated with this model... summore the battery is integrated.. sad.gif

Yes.. for both 6114TX and 6108TX now it has option in after BIOS update to choose either dynamic or fixed. Not physical switch button of course...

hmm, i would rather choose stability over performance.
my current lappy also got heat issue and I'm sick with it already.
Beside Acer TimelineX, what's your second best pick bro?

The others are similar in terms of performance because of the same AMD Zacate APU laugh.gif
Dell M102z has a slight upperhand because of the faster HDD rotation speed... other than that, its all down to personal preference nod.gif

How come so cheap? I want a solid laptop btw. Isit they put super gud specs in it,and put cheap things to complete other stuff? Cheap things plus good specs makes me suspicious. Btw, which is a more powerful gpu? Gt525m or 6630m? Cuz vostro 3550 use 6630m so im curious

6630m is comparable to 540m...

525m is a few steps below. i would guess around 10 percent difference???? hmm.gif maybe..

6630 in notebookcheck is weaker than 540m.... BUT.. it can overclock more.. haha.. so it will beat 540m...

haha.. it is 2.8k... i7 quad+gt550m..... 550m is a few steps above 540m....

.... i cant comment on quality.... but i can comment on the ease of maintenance.... the laptop bottom plate.. unscrew.. u can see the fan, hdd, and ram adi.. dang easy to clean!!!

unlike so many others that is a pain the @$$ to open and clean.... vmad.gif
