I would like to ask all of u guys, wats the best 17 inch laptop under rm3000? I will use it for gaming, youtube, web browsing and video editing. So far the only laptop in my criteria is the dell vostro 3750, which looks sweet, but my only issue with it is threw gpu of it, the gt525m. I hope to be able to use itfor at least 2 yrs, so will the gt525m last me tat? Hope to ply future games in low/mid settings. Thx guys! 1 more thing, NO ACER! I dun like acer products,tq.

QUOTE(JonnY @ Aug 2 2011, 08:41 PM) quote from [PF] T.J. Lenovo Y470, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT550M@RM2999[JBL] i7 with less than rm3k... lolz.. How come so cheap? I want a solid laptop btw. Isit they put super gud specs in it,and put cheap things to complete other stuff? Cheap things plus good specs makes me suspicious. Btw, which is a more powerful gpu? Gt525m or 6630m? Cuz vostro 3550 use 6630m so im curious

Why i cant find any y470 review... So u saying gt525m<6630m<gt540m? I Read gt525m and gt540m are very similar, so performance shud be different by few fps only right?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 2 2011, 09:28 PM) Nope, rather lee_what2004 sifu was the one to 1st share the review Dunno how he dug that one out haha... As mentioned, GT540m is the overclocked version of GT525m... surely its better (when both are stock)... but if you overclock GT525m, it can reach GT540m's level of performance Oh! Ok. I dun oc btw(no guts). I tink i stick with 3750 larh! Tq

QUOTE(rohit12 @ Aug 3 2011, 08:02 PM) yes i think price is fixed may be you can get for 200 rm less but not very less ..i think if you can wait for january then you can get ivy bridge ..more fast and more amazing graphics also new generation of graphics in 28nm technology means more power saving means more battery even while gaming I dun tink i can wait till that long. Plus i nid wait manufacturers meet my requirements, which is good price with good specs and decent built quality and design

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 4 2011, 09:40 AM) Its cheap because of PC Fair offer It also indirectly shows how much the manufacturers are earning from each laptop sold so now the price of dv6 without beats solo headphone is rm3199. if the offer is over, the price will be more expensive? if so, i gotta buy it quick

QUOTE(rohit12 @ Aug 6 2011, 07:55 PM) i think acer has worst build quality and worst screen.. also brightness and contrast of that glossy mirror acer uses is very low standard..keyboard by acer has lot of flex ..the touch pad used by acer is very laggy and slow.. My acer laptop display still is ok-ish,but viewing angles are quite low. If normal keyboard typing,io cant feel the flex, only when u press down then can feel. My touchpad works fine lerh,no lag. Mayb urs not tat gud. Acer so cheap,of course nid cut corners to compensate for cheap price
