Nope, rather lee_what2004 sifu was the one to 1st share the review Dunno how he dug that one out haha... As mentioned, GT540m is the overclocked version of GT525m... surely its better (when both are stock)... but if you overclock GT525m, it can reach GT540m's level of performance

Basically every chip starts out as equals but after a while you would see that some chips aren't up to standard, which will then be downgraded to a lower level. Hence, the only difference between the GT550M, GT540M and the GT525M are just clockspeed.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 2 2011, 05:56 PM) The others are similar in terms of performance because of the same AMD Zacate APU Dell M102z has a slight upperhand because of the faster HDD rotation speed... other than that, its all down to personal preference that's alright. you have helped me a lot already bro. What you have given me so far is mostly AMD-based, what about intel-based lappy?

You wanted a 12-13" subnotebook capable of gaming right? Apart from the 3830Tg... the other Intel-powered (apart from those crappy Atoms) laptops are not equiped with a dedicated GPU for gaming, hence not listed out This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Aug 2 2011, 09:42 PM

QUOTE(KaRiLa @ Aug 2 2011, 10:02 PM) what actually is optimus? does hp dv 6 got optimus? thx for answeringgg~ Nvidia Optimus is basically a software that helps you determine which GPU to use (most laptops have 2 now, one dedicated, one integrated) according to the need... for instance, when you're playing games, Optimus will switch to the more powerful dedicated graphic card for performance boost; whereas when you're on battery, Optimus will switch to the less power consuming integrated GPU to help conserve battery HP Dv6 comes with an AMD GPU, so it has BACON instead, which basically functions similar to that of Optimus
