hi everyone, need help just like everyone else here.

1. Brand: Any will do. although the idea of a thinkpad is appealing
2. Budget: 3k and under if possible, abit over is fine
3. Usage: Gonna study law, want to record music (fast HDD write speed?), and dota occasionally. i5 is kind of a priority, not because i need it, it's just a mindset that i dont wanna get something crappy that wont be usable in a few years time.
4. Size: 13-14 inches

p.s. i'm aware that quite alot of laptops fulfill my requirements. Too many in fact, and that why i need help deciding the best.

Thanks!

FreeDOS, that's what drive the price cheaper laugh.gif
The GT555M on NP5165 is using 128-bits instead the 192-bit GT555M in AlienWare M14x, so the result won't be comparable..
And playing the games on native resolution, the NP5165 might be slower compared to DV6..
But you can get one of the best screen available on notebook if you do upgrade the screen to 1080p 95% Colour Gamut..

1. depending on whether you're okay with Sager's warranty support. If okay, then Sager would be the more viable option. Otherwise, HP Dv6 nod.gif

2. Can consider:

Acer's TimelineX should be the lightest nod.gif
