QUOTE(izzi_guy @ Aug 7 2011, 12:50 AM) Wiraone..this is my first try on retail disk..I got problem when its booting to apple logo..its become blank..doesn't show anything..like we monitor on standby.. Specs as below.. Core i3,gigabyte mobo,4gb ram,gtx 260..I think it got problem with the gc..bcoz its not pre-defined gc with its kext..but I'm not sure.. What's ur opinion? Booting from usb lion/SL? , make sure to add graphicsenabler=y in your com.apple.boot.plist / org.chameleon.boot.plist. Btw what mobo n method youre using.

@izziguy, need more information. What OS you're trying to install, what method did you use, what stage did you get the blank screen, what motherboard do you have.

Gengstapo, not sure about that bro, very slim chance that your intel GMA 4500HD is supported. QUOTE(bryanyeo @ Aug 7 2011, 10:42 AM) Finally got every single thing works perfectly! QUOTE(工藤新一 @ Aug 6 2011, 12:21 AM) Any guild? I try on xps 15, keep fail~Successfully install OSX lion on VMWare. Previously using vmware workstation, 7.1.0, keep fail. need 7.1.4 to make it works. Runs fine here. But the problem now is sound driver. I wonder what will work. Also keymapping and all. Need lots more to do. But I find the new Launchpad and mission control a bit of a fad. Not exciting at all.

izzi, I've no idea if anyone has successfully installed SL using iboot + USB. I believe it requires the CD + SL DVD combination. But if you still want to use the USB method, I've successfully used myhack method for my DVD-less setup. The graphics card should work just fine on SL, you may need to add the PCIRootUID=1 during the bootup (or if you're using myhack, I believe you could add this in the comp.apple.Boot.plist in the USB drive).
Whoppys, myhack requires you to have access to OSX first.

Yes, during bootup time. If you need to use the busratio, just append the pcirootuid separated by space.

You might or might not .. if you've installed a DSDT file, I believe you don't really need it..

DSDT very important to eliminate the hardware limit when you running OSX on generic PC. It could also fix the problem where no driver support for certain hardware~
