I succesfully ran OSX Snow leopard 10.6.7 via VMware. Since it's a 2nd gen. laptop, not much that I can do to run it as my main. I'll take this opportunity to explore the OS then. Any advise on vmware optimum settings? I got quite frustrated when starting it as it says guest not supported but got fixed just by a single line of code in the .vmx

QUOTE(工藤新一 @ Aug 6 2011, 12:21 AM) Any guild? I try on xps 15, keep fail~Successfully install OSX lion on VMWare. Previously using vmware workstation, 7.1.0, keep fail. need 7.1.4 to make it works. Runs fine here. But the problem now is sound driver. I wonder what will work. Also keymapping and all. Need lots more to do. But I find the new Launchpad and mission control a bit of a fad. Not exciting at all.

Any drivers that I can use for OSX Lion for vmware? Those kexts and packages won't work.

Anyone using Realtek ALC269 HD soundcard on Lion? VoodooHDA.kext, AzaliaAudio.kext, Ensoniq. Just added another interface for Vmware's sound card. It's working now albeit a little skippy. Oh, I was wondering, how do you guys map your keys? Since the windows button would prove to be useless. Mind to give me guidance on that? Was shallow to think it's not automatically mapped. I recently came across the insanelymac review on Dell N5110 (15r) and they've got a working hackintosh. But the thing is I have the Intel® Centrino 1080 instead of Atheros & different GPUs (AMD HD6630, alongside HD3000 instead of Nvidia) Is it viable? Can I still boot up my Win7 and not lose data? Been using Win7 & Ubuntu frequently. P/S: Not much users here use VMWare visualization so that's why I ask something more relevant. This post has been edited by Chyan: Aug 11 2011, 04:16 AM

Hello again guys.
I'm currently installing an iAtkos S3 V2 distro in which I will dualboot alongside Windows 7 using EasyBCD 2.1 (Addition of another boot line for OSX)
I was wondering, will formatting the drive into Primary make any difference whilst I'm in the installation stage for erasing to make it journaled?
I tried using logical and MBR instead of EFI from EasyBCD and it gives me Chain boot error but not with EFI. But instead, it loads until the Apple logo just for a 1/2 sec and reboot again.
My laptop is N4110 SB i5.

QUOTE(Xabrius @ Aug 18 2011, 06:39 PM) I have an Asus A42J i5 460M, nVidia 310M, 320GB HDD, 2GB x 2 DDR3 RAM bought in Dec 2010 I was wondering that I can install MacOSX with iAt_ _ s without messing up my bootloader that I have to use Win7 recovery disk or using EasyBCD to store my Windows MBR(yes, i'm dual booting) Can anyone give me some advice? I guess same problem here? Do you use MBR or EFI for the bootloader via EasyBCD? One time, I effed my Win7 bootloader when I changed my OSX partition to primary and active. Resort to using disk to key in the correct commands for the fix. What's more, the distro won't let you format inside the Disk utility when the partition you're in is primary rather than logical. It works with the latter but booting's the problem like I said in my previous post. This post has been edited by Chyan: Aug 18 2011, 10:40 PM
