Why going back to chameleon when you can do the same with chimera? Did you use the latest multibeast? Restarts mean that you probably need to specify the busratio .. but wonder why if you've chimera installed by multibeast.

one more issue is that, after i update the version 10.6.6, the Q/E is gone..no more translucent on my apple bar menu..how to solve this too?

Did you run the nvidia updater? Try it and see if this solve your problem. Might be the best to upgrade directly to 10.6.8.

wiraone..how to install dsdt as well..?i have downloaded the right dsdt for my mobo

Put the DSDT.aml file that you've downloaded into your Desktop. Run multibeast, there is an option to use the DSDT within the multibeast, tick on that option.

I don't think I posted here before. My current Hackintosh setup:

Intel D975XBX2, Q6600, nVidia 8800GTS (G80), OS X Server 10.6.8

This is an old machine but it's my trusty old workhorse server. It's practically been on 24/7 for the last 5 years. Initially setup using JaS 10.4, then Kalyway 10.5 and now using Ultimate Snow Leopard 1.0.2.

The main reason why I don't use a real Mac as a server is because I use a lot of eSata HD docks which I can't do with anything other than a MacPro.

I recently came across the insanelymac review on Dell N5110 (15r) and they've got a working hackintosh.

But the thing is I have the Intel® Centrino 1080 instead of Atheros
& different GPUs (AMD HD6630, alongside HD3000 instead of Nvidia)

Is it viable? Can I still boot up my Win7 and not lose data?
Been using Win7 & Ubuntu frequently.

P/S: Not much users here use VMWare visualization so that's why I ask something more relevant.

@izzi, as digswell said, put the DSDT.aml either in your /Extra folder or the / (root) folder. The boot process will try to read the file in either of those two directories.

Added on August 11, 2011, 8:25 amIm already try the PCIRootUID method last night but stuck at the same place. After google i find my BIOS need to modified on SATA/AHCI mode instead of IDE, i will try again after i back tonight.
