Wanna ask, where can I get replacement for N53S power adapter? Need some recommended seller or get from Asus directly?
*
best get original or ex asus laptop adapter, fake might ruin ur pc board, costing more $

My N55SF when gaming(Dota 2) CPU will go up to 80-90 degree while GPU was 75 degree..
Is it normal? Currently i didnt use any cooler on it..
*
in fan room, normal if u used >6 months.
unless u put artic silver then 80'c max out all settings.

QUOTE(kuro0314 @ Mar 13 2014, 05:18 PM)
hi guys, do you burn or heat (not sure the term that sound expert use) your B&O speaker when first bought? something to make the speaker produce better sound quality... (correct me if im wrong) if u do does really make the different? is just a laptop speaker... lol
*
never heard of it or dare not to even do it shocking.gif

i mean IMO, just plug in a headphone or custom IEM or a 7.1 surround if u want better audio, laptop speakers are only convenient assets.

Hey guys do you know what models of RAM are compatible with N53SN? I went to a shop to clean and replace the fan and thermal paste so I thought of upgrading the RAM as well but most of the shops say the RAM that is compatible with this laptop no longer available/compatible? Something about this older stock RAM using 16 chip and newer RAM modules using 8 chip.

tot ddr3 1333mhz is all the n53sn needs?
cannot be outofstock. ddr2 modules still can find.

fyi 8 chip n 16 chip can work together.
just no dual channel if thats important

it works, but the sales guy might want to get a % of sales by getting u change all 4 ram's whistling.gif

Might b wrong though.

I could say that Asus has the worst customer service team and very bad warranty claims management. Sent my notebook to them for RMA and after 9 days, not a single call were answered by their service centre. When I called their hotline, their customer service doesn't seem to know whats happening with the status of the repairs other than saying that it is under process. And they keep telling me that the notebook is under diagnosis. 10 Days of diagnosis for a hard disk failure? Wtf are their technicians morons?
Im really dissapointed with this kind of service by Asus. So for the rest of you here who are considering buying an Asus, better think again with this kind of customer service.

Just and update, As mentioned send in my notebook for RMA since 5/5/5014 and until now after countless calls to

1) ASUS CS HOTLINE - Foreigners picking up calls and have no idea of the status of the Repairs, Keep telling me to wait.

2) Service Centre In Lowyat - Never Picks up calls

3) ASUS Facebook - Promised to get Service Centre People to Call me but never did

4) ASUS Online Repair Status - Still same status, Under Repairs Since Day 1.

Been given the runaround and nobody seems to be bothered to attend to your case doh.gif

Im appalled by this kind of customer service. shakehead.gif

Not very helpful to bash not knowing what is going on.
Repair Status link <check ur RMA stats here

the last time i sent in my laptop was a G series, took them 12 days.
to claim a new keyboard because it broked on the 2nd year (the last week of the warranty)
they said itz over the warranty period and asked me to go back to the purchasing shop to amend the receipt to 1 week later.
done that came back and they sent it in for diagnostics.
12 days later they called me and asked to pick up.
they ran a full diagnostic and repaired my broken back lighting panel for my FullHD screen (which i never asked) and the keyboard.
they also fixed some body panels.
Total cost waived, RM400 backlit keyboard + RM1000 Full HD matt screen
__
another experience was sending in my N53SN in sydney parramatta SCentre,
regarding a fault I did, corrupting my total mobo boot and HHD.
sent it in the morning, received it back in the evening, they stayed back overtime for me so i didnt have to walk so far again.
thats international warranty claim, no hassles no ask for anything, no say cannot cuz of my fault.
Total cost waived 500AUD

My advice is send the laptop in as early as possible, thats when the staff is fresh and happy and be nice to them.
Also give them time to fix ur laptop, remember u r not the only one in the whole malaysia with an asus laptop.
moreover, parts also needs to be sourced and things needs to be processed.

But i must say Asus SC MY Lowyat NEVER picks up their phones or their emails. doh.gif
that's lousy

win 7 Home Premium?
this
X15-65733 ISO

download it, then burn on a dvd/usbstick.
using this Windows 7 usb/dvd tool or other software u r used 2
then boot using the dvd/usb and use the OEM keys under ur laptop.

checked ur router issue?
Ip reset command
1st right click and press edit, find the username part and replace it with ur username. i removed it because i don't want my name to be out icon_rolleyes.gif
try downloading this and running it.
it will flush ur IP and all and reset ur network internally.
if ur router works well without issues on all handphones and laptops and only u and this solves it, means a configuration problem.

also does this occur when ur laptop is hot?
if itz an asus laptop, go to C:\eSupport\eDriver\install all.exe
run it and reinstall ur wifi/lan drivers. thats the stock one that came with the laptop.
also make sure all windows update is installed, because 1 of the update screwed my wifi around for a week.

just giving a few shots to help, I am no way a pro/technician.

I have been checking the status ever since I sent my notebook in as the status has been "Repairing" since day one. What irks me is that none of their staff bothers to inform us what is the status of the repairs. mad.gif All in all, I would say lousy customer service. Next time, wont mind paying more for a better known brand with better after sales. Enough said.

Then it's ur choice.
nuff said.

I would only agree with the no pick up phone/reply email part.
i have dealt with HP and dell, acer
Hp is crap cuz after a period all their parts EOL
Dell is parts always break so they happily come service ur laptop.
Acer is worse, repair what seems under warranty, in the end u have to pay for it doh.gif , also replace 1 screen more than a week.

best go enterprise grade products, sure guarantee good good service 1

nice, ddl link. I'm very thankful to that.

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with the router since my other devices works fine with the wifi.
but it does turn like this after the windows update which makes most of the fn function not working.. I'll give the install all exe a try after my download is complete..

Speaking of heat, is there an easy way to clean the fan? I mean without taking off the whole stuff and wash it.

umm, the closest i can think of
removing ur dvd drive n keyboard, then
using a canned air and a vacuum cleaner and do blow n suck cycles
to push n pull the dusts to loosen them.

but so far it works to an extend, the very finely knitted ones will not come out usually.

hmm, im not in asus sales or any asus related person, so i can't help u
I just use it for work renderings.

the design looks a bit like the G 15 inch thin laptop (not the freaking huge normal ones)
comes with 3/4th gen cpu and 760GTX 2/3gb vram, 8 gb ram and 1tb hhd.
painted in red with backlit keyboard.
Looks soooo nice when i saw it and caught my attention

BUT The PRICE IS 4k sweat.gif whistling.gif
(I don't mind paying 4 that cuz i can make a dual HHD slot, but i dun like the 760gtx.. i want 860gtx brows.gif )

best use the stock wifi drivers if u got a problem or 1 patch after
never install microsoft recommended drivers in windows update unless necessary

keep trying I guess. worse it might be the wifi card itself doh.gif
