hi guys, im using K43SD laptop, do anyone know whether is it possible to add another SSD? Or do I have to replace my previous hard-drive with SSD alone?
*
get a laptop hhd caddy
ssd in main hhd slot, hhd in dvd hhd caddy slot

QUOTE(slap2begin @ Aug 2 2014, 12:05 PM)
1.1k ......bought this because i7 and can upgrade ram to max 16gb..and also doin engineering software like solid work.. matlab..been compare to new lappy around 1.1k..i guess this is the best deal...what if not.using ssd? I mean normal brand new hdd? Btw doing research one of them.change ssd but still slow booting
*
1.1 seems nice knowing it beats more budget laptop specs esp 2 dimm slots
sure, can change normal hhd, itz cheaper too, RM230 for 1TB sure,
im just saying that the previous stock hhd prolly ran quite a bit ardy and is wearing out.
SSD slow booting is not normal if u didnt do it right.
also check the posting date, if 2009 go figure.
it takes a few weeks of normal usage to break into the ssd (to build up itz cache i guess)
after that itz fast and i realised the only thing slowing down my comp is the hhd loading.
btw, also clean the laptop fans if u can n53sn runs very quiet (meglev fans installed), if itz hurr hurr means the previous owner didnt clean it
brand new hhd i could say boot up 30 sec's flat, so far what we all avg achieved.

while the laptop is sleeping, press any keys on the keyboard to wake it.
Don't use mouse clicks.

That is what he meant.

cuz the battery is powering the board (through charging the small battery)
small battery is to retain info while totally no power.

maybe not directly recharging but like breaking between the system to power the things the cmos is powering.
opened a few laptop be4, never seen a labeled 'rechargeable' cmos battery.

not much updates/firmwares
just update bios to newest and install back using the esupport driver installer and update from that.

oh and if ur ssd got new firmware, better update it.
