@UncleBenny

I have a question out of curiousity. If there is a long idle mdoe and phone couldn't boot up, should it be 100% battery since I have charger pluged in?

Sorry sorry for asking!

Couldn't boot up due to what? 100% CPU usage? That'd be a drain in itself.

Read page 1 post#4 i have wtitten a simple tutorial how to root using supercurio. Once you did this it is very easy to flash rom, kernel. My tutorial shows you all basics setting up your pc and learning how to use odin
dont ssk others to fo for you as you cannot be adking everytime whenever there is newer kernel or rom. Learn how to fish not ssk others to feed you the fish

It's not that i'm not willing to give it a try Uncle Benny. It's just that i dont have computer. Somemore i got some kind of phobia using pc. Better leave it to the expert with this kind of thing. I just want root with superuser, busybox, CMW and TB but stay at Stock Rom for the time being.

Guess I have overlooked on that. Testing it now. Hopefulyl I don't touch my phone for the next...5 hours smile.gif THanks uncle benny. By the way, since you are saying about long idle, what is the normal term of it? 3 hours or more = long idle?
*
Frankly i have no idea. Guess it would be at least few hours but why bother about it. Be safe .i set mine at lowest 500mhz and many tomes i check when phone not active refreshing data the cpu goes down to 200mhz at times. If you force set it lowest at 200mhz it auto goes lower your phone sure hang. You can use free app system panel to check cpu speeds running at anytime. Most of time example running around 800mhz for heavy browsing

No offence but don't you think the sgs2 is a little but too high end for someone who does not use a PC?

does anyone have any problem with whatsapp settings not taking effect? i tried to set it not to vibrate in the settings, and in the sounds setting, the vibrate setting is set to "never" but still the phone vibrate when whatsapp messages comes in.

on another, just found out that starting from 2.3, there is no widget to automatically switch 2G/3G because it was not allowed. it must go through the mobile network settings.

Yes true but there's an app on market that takes you to the settings screen easily
So that's still four clicks. On stock from still.

computer is the first thing in the world mate. anything starts with a computer. i never browse using my phone when got computer in my grasp. unless i am sick and cannot get up from the bed, yes i'll use my phone, though sometimes i take my laptop on the bed!

and dont keep saying you are noob, until when wanna stay noob. wake up and learn how to learn. if you cannot do this, then just use the device as it is. dont think about root and modding it. it'll trouble yourself in the future. seriously, if you dont know what are you doing or gonna do, just dont. no offense dude. this kind of thing, you need to do yourself.

i am on litening 2.2 rom and last night i encountered a situation where i cannot make/receive any calls without knowing it until i was told by my wife that she cannot reach me after making humpteenth attempt to call me. then i tried to call her to show that i am not on the wrong side but unfortunately the call ended mysteriously. After a simple rebbot everything is solved...
but my questions is, how do we know that the problem happens? i am afraid if something emergency happens and that time i cannot recieve any calls... anyone encountered this issue before?
p/s: i was surfing using H+ connection with no problem though...

Anyone here using any type of tough case?

How is the SGP Neo Hybrid vs Case Mate Tough vs Otterbox Commuter?

Neo Hybrid has a hard ring, while both case mate and otterbox have full hard case, unfortunately, case mate and otterbox top and bottom side is not sealed by the hard case, making dust entering easy, while neo hybrid seals all around. =.=

Being the owner of a NeoHybrid, it think the case is mainly cosmetic... I don't think it offers much protection at all, except for scratches.... I'm not about to drop my GS2 to find out tho tongue.gif

Didn't experience any of such problem yet. However, could it be telco's problem? Just saying...

Guys, wanna ask, do you get weird buzzing sound or sounds like the in-call speaker is blown when you make/receive calls?

I'm not sure is it because of the person on the other side is talking too loud or the phone signal problem causing this. But I get it on and off.

Some people on Galaxy S forums did mention this and they say when on 3G, this wont happen. its all nuts..
