Actually between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 there isn't a significant difference. I'd only recommend upgrading if you get hit by by the AOS bug present in some but not alll 2.3.3s..
Check your battery usage and if AndroidOS is using up a significant portion of your battery, an upgrade would be good. On the other hand, I'm currently using Batista70 by snakes. Kinda like how that rom is themed. |

Stock kernel will have problems with Wifi on some devices I think when used in conjunction with a custom rom. Better to either buy a jig or just make one xD

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jul 11 2011, 09:56 AM) The browser lag CAN be fixed, you know. And like I said before, stock browser is REALLY quite feature sparse if you intend to REALLY browse heavily. The HW acceleration is nice for flash, yes, but otherwise the dual core proc makes any browser fast anyway. Yeah it *can* be fixed... Just that its a hassle Plus the crappy checkerboard and text reflow problems in stock. Also, I'm wondering what you guys are running for so many to get reboot problems. Ever since I for got the SGS2, the thing has only freeze rebooted on me like 3-4 times, and even then due to excessive system mods. Sample variation? @KLHC Just download VRTweaks and select the fixed browser option inside. Added on July 11, 2011, 9:59 amI guess I just like the UI of the stock android browser. Never really did like Dolphin all that much. This post has been edited by Optimus2x: Jul 11 2011, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(un_id @ Jul 11 2011, 06:33 PM) flashed VR2.0. (successfully i think Performance tweaks / deodexed only.. Doesn't mean there will be visual changes inside the ROM itself.when booting up, saw the villian boot logo.. BUT, it looks exactly the same as stock ROM. homepage, wallpaper, everything looks the same. Added on July 11, 2011, 6:37 pm QUOTE(un_id @ Jul 11 2011, 06:16 PM) guys, i need to correct my statement. Also, just because the apps are there doesn't mean they are functional regarding the removing yellow warning triangle as quoted above. YES, after i just flashed the stock kernel, the yellow triangle GONE. Superuser and CWM apps still retained in my device (means i still have root access) a few moments i tot im good to go, but problem occurs when i tried to flash custom ROM. it just WON'T flash! i figured out that the ChainFire kernel was gone, thats y i won't flash. thus, i downloaded 7-zip and extract the zimage files from the CF .tar. flashed the zimage, then only can flash custom ROM. i just dun want to be misleading to other noob here.. thanks (testing the Villain 2.0 now This post has been edited by Optimus2x: Jul 11 2011, 06:37 PM |

QUOTE(shazzmania @ Jul 11 2011, 09:07 PM) I just realized something. i wanted to test how long the battery can go on with my usual usage so i dried up the battery, and charge it while its off. after charged til 100%, i switched it on, it only shows that ive charged it until 95% only. anyone faced this before? what should i do? If you're on a rooted SGS2, boot into CWM and clear battery stats |

QUOTE(xcorex69 @ Jul 13 2011, 01:54 AM) sorry uncle benny. im just curious. understand the TIPS but just take the precaution. some ppl said need to factory reset, some said no. and really sorry my question its TOO REALLY mess up this forum. Best if you can do a factory reset, that will help isolate any problems you may come across.. |
