i just got my SGS II last week. so far OK. there is one bug. when i turn on the alarm, when it rings, i just use the feature where i put it face down to mute it. few hours later, i could not unlock it using the unlock code because the screen was in potrait mode but the keypad was like in landscape with 20% of the keypad chopped off. therefore i could not enter the full code. normally the unlock screen is ALWAYS in potrait.
So is it just me or happened to you fellas also. So far happened only once.

QUOTE(stormstrider @ Jul 18 2011, 08:47 AM) It's not that i'm not willing to give it a try Uncle Benny. It's just that i dont have computer. Somemore i got some kind of phobia using pc. Better leave it to the expert with this kind of thing. I just want root with superuser, busybox, CMW and TB but stay at Stock Rom for the time being. No offence but don't you think the sgs2 is a little but too high end for someone who does not use a PC?

QUOTE(Optimus2x @ Jul 18 2011, 08:52 AM) I like this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172520Skipping on 1.4 atm since it prevents deep sleep Added on July 18, 2011, 8:52 amSGS2 is high end enough that you don't need a PC except to ODIN xD Exactly which is why I am wondering if he has phobia of PC's (Mac etc included) he should note that sgs2 is just as scary. Lol

QUOTE(confuzan @ Jul 18 2011, 08:58 AM) does anyone have any problem with whatsapp settings not taking effect? i tried to set it not to vibrate in the settings, and in the sounds setting, the vibrate setting is set to "never" but still the phone vibrate when whatsapp messages comes in. on another, just found out that starting from 2.3, there is no widget to automatically switch 2G/3G because it was not allowed. it must go through the mobile network settings. Yes true but there's an app on market that takes you to the settings screen easily So that's still four clicks. On stock from still.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jul 9 2011, 08:29 PM) 26. I saw my other phone charger is rated at Output 5V-1.0A. Our S2 charger is rated at Output 5V-0.7A. The longer time of charging might be due to this but can we use 1.0A charger to charge our batt?? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You can use any car charger as long as its output is minimum 500mA. An ideal charge output will be 1000mA. Even using a 2000mA car charger ( those use to charge Android tablets, ipad ) can be used - it will not spoil your phone - charging times will be faster mind to share where did you get this information from? i do have a samsung tablet charger that charges that 2000mA, but want to be sure before try it.

QUOTE(vkyip @ Jul 18 2011, 02:22 PM) Wifi off, data off, 3G wanna off but duno how, sync off, sms and phone only. I'm sleeping so it's alright. there is no quick short cut to change on stock rom but it is very easy to change: the same place you turn off you data, there's an option WCDMA/GSM. Auto = Obvious WCDMA = 3G Bands GSM = 2G i do this manually instead of using juice defender etc and save a lot of battery power. when i leave my ebuddy and what's app on, 2G is enough, hence I can save power then when I need to use the internet for surfing/sreaming i turn 3G back on.
