Im driving a tsi too. When i let go my pedal frm idle with D mode, the car idle for another 0.5-1 sec then start moving forward slowly without any jerking i suppose.

I do hav the brake being Applied feeling when i press the pedal to accelerate but did not press too much (n not too little either) then i will feel a little jerk effect, if everytime i accelerate hard, i wont hav the issue. Lol.
*
Yes....thats right, same as my experience....need to accelerate hard, its always happen in the low gear at 0-30km/h range...if press lightly then will feel a little bit jerk...

hie all, 1 quick question...can we change gear from D->S while driving? I've never tried S mode since I got the car..will it jerk or something?
*
can, you can change from D to S to D on the fly

S will go into redline rpm range a lil bit before upshifting.

ok...meaning it "auto" revs up the engine, 1 question here, if we let it free-wheel(no pedal pressing) at the time we change D->S, will it jerk? Or we need to press the pedal when changing? If we press pedal when changing D->S, the car will suddenly accelerates ahead?

It's not jerk. When it's in S mode, it would engage lower gear and pull to towards red line more before changing. Your foot need have a good technique to control pedal. DSG is more like manual, lifting your foot abruptly from the pedal would give you the sudden 'jerk'.

Once you get used to it, driving a GTI is like taming a wolf to behave like a 'sheep'. That's my personal experience.

You get all the programs for the normal price! Really good functionality is the security lockout!
Prices can range depending on where you go. RM450-RM600.

Plenty of shops in Sunway can do it as well, Hup Shun, or YR Auto in Kepong

Thanks for the info, bcoz I'm going to buy the rims soon, n thinking of paint on it. Will the paint "drop" easily?

Hi, what do you guys think about installing vw replica taiwan rims? Is there any downside to it? It's really cheap considering can get all 4 for under 2k.

I'm contemplating on selling my 2010 Golf GTi and replacing it with the C200. Many people (including my wife) is advicing me against it, but won't stop me if I really want to. I don't know what I should do. I like the adrenalin rush it provides.. but there is just not much opportunity for me to 'tekan' it....... I seldom get to go anywhere without my wife... and when she's beside me, she'll forbid me from 'pecut'ing too much......

I know how you feel...my wife is the same too....the c200 is really a nice car. But for raw adrenaline rush, it is no match for your gti...

I would say go for the C200 bro, its just a class above the VW and its meant for the executive and comfortable ride with plenty of gadgets. Save some extra pocket money and have a toy car for the weekend sprints up cameron and back brows.gif brows.gif

Wonder how much does a 2010 GTi fetch nowadays. A little bit out of topic... but does anyone have any idea on how much does it cost to tender for WWC488?
