Anyone seen the CBT Video of the VW Polo GTI? Seems like a good car, but sadly unless you've got Daddy's Account Number I think most people will still opt for the Golf, Me included

Golf and Rocco is still the far most superior regardless of everything.

Polo GTi are just wannabe up to that superiority.

Sorry no offence.

I own a polo tsi biggrin.gif

Wow finally one good reply from a owner of a VW in Malaysia. I wonder what u paid them to have this kind of service  biggrin.gif
Aiks...no improvement at all over a year..terrible. No written complains to VGM about this?
*
Stop wasting your time to ccomplain at VGM...the useless hq didn't response to you and they will push it back to the dealer. They will just say busy with meeting ( I dont see any improvement).

Went there but end up you've to drive back your car to dealer. So what is the point of complain?!

At this time, quite hard to find one. Best to call the usual suspects like FA Wagen, Wearnes, Veemer or Amcorp Auto. Confirm with them and book a test drive time (if they have one available). Friend just booked his unit and the SA told him to expect delivery in April 2012 shocking.gif shocking.gif

I believe the media test units will be out in about 3 weeks time. Then after that the remaining Polo GTI's will be passed on to the various showrooms. I saw at least 8 units at Sepang.

get in touch with any SA and ask em to book for a test drive session right away once they are available. SIC can la tekan kaw kaw. KL can try MEX highway. brows.gif

anyway, will the test drive units be up for sale? i don't mind getting one with 10-15% off OTR price than waiting for Q1 2012 for the delivery. laugh.gif

Wow I wonder how much spare time you have to spend all this energy complaining about VWM.

And double wow, you don't even own one?

My experience has been good so far. I don't work for VGM. I'm just happy with my purchase.

So chill out. Life's too short to be a hater smile.gif

Sadly such wonderful experience of yours did not experienced by myself as well as many more members in this thread.

And on the bolded part, that alone without improvement for almost a year now is not VGM fault? Remember on early 2011 GTI buyers ended up not able to get the SE version? In addition the Polo GTI test drive for VIP only, all this are not good enough being justified as being snobbish?

Rule of thumb in business: unhappy buyers will always make more noise than happy buyers.

And many of the so-called "snobbish" things you say about VGM are simply normal business decisions.

If they were so forthcoming about the GTI SE, who would have bought the normal GTI? They had to finish their stock.

If the Polo GTI is so limited in stock, why should they waste their time giving EVERYONE a test drive? They'll have plenty of time to go mass market when their stocks improve, and they can actually meet the demand.

I do agree on the service though. They should definitely do something about service turnover times. And have more courtesy cars.

I would say unhappy buyers on VW service outnumbered the happy ones currently. Of course no doubt the cars are great.

And yes although those mentioned are business tactics but that does not mean being unhappy (or even happy) buyers have to choose to accept these practices and keep their mouth shut.

QUOTE(zenix @ Aug 29 2011, 02:22 AM)
probably will be.

this event was so poorly managed or there was a communication breakdown?

SA told me to go either sat/sun.
i got special invites so can park at vip area then test drive the polo gti there.

when i reach there the parking boys told me my tickets only for normal area gotta park elsewhere then another group told me it is ok if i am invited by the showroom just register.

after register and park i started to walk in, again i was stopped at a gate told me my tickets for normal area and they gotta check here and there before letting me in.

by the time i walked in (no buggy wanna fetch me) it feels like the event is over. not many people around. the staff just lurking around like its 30mins from going home and i reach there at 2pm!

told me to test drive gotta go register.

then i walked up and register. then they said...OH ur showroom is not for today but u can register now....after register no coupon for test drive and also no goodie bag.

i was like f**k it then went over to see the porsche side....then left the event area. drove in to the normal grand stand area to see whats going on there.

like a ghost town!

warms my heart when i saw two rocco's crashed before 2 laps.....i guess that is the quality of this race/car rolleyes.gif

the sa whom attended me was good bnot good.ut i think overall feeling for this badge is not good.

yes! i agree!! it was a very horrible event unlike porsche event next door! it was awesome!!!

rolleyes.gif not like people who walk in cant afford a VW. Well, after seeing what happened to rocco probably i might think twice before getting a VW..
will shut up and stop promoting VW to my parents although they are quite interested with Touareg 3.6 V6 FSI.
Even though Porsche Cayenne 3.6 / BMW X6 slightly more expensive than Touareg i think Porsche/BMW customer service will be much more better than VW. so VW sales team/marketing team should go for more training!
This event just make me sleepy and the VIP side is so boring! grandstand is much more happening and noisier ( yeah..around 20-30 peoples only ) rolleyes.gif well..at least i can see how they crash the rocco! rclxms.gif

If u see my other topic on this forum I was surveying 2 brands mainly VW or Pug but after seeing all the mayhem VWM is causing to owners like ben83 I think I know very well to stay away from VW for my next vehicle purchase. I drop by this topic to read about how the VWM owners are doing with their cars but people like omichael with their fanboy-ism ain't helping my survey at all. Thanks a lot bro doh.gif

Right on that, sad to see a superior brand like VW has crap people running it in MY. At least I know when I bought my very first car that was a Perodua Myvi I got feedback from the Rawang HQ itself when I complained about problems with my car. Was expecting some professionalism from VWM but...anyway hope their service gets better for those whom VWM caused trouble upon.

With all due disrespect, take your unconstructive whining and stick it where the sun don't shine bro.

You say you want to know how VWM owners are doing with their car, then when I tell you I'm happy you imply I'm some kind of tool. In other words you just want to hear the bad stuff.

So good luck with your Pug, I'm sure it won't give you any problems at all whistling.gif

Wearnes is now offering official accessories.

Has anyone checked out what they have and what their prices are like?

My father ordered a Golf TSI 2011 from Goh Brothers Motor during December 2010. The car arrived on Feb 2011 but our car doesn't have the DRL lights. Is the car suppose to have DRL lights if it is a car of year 2011? Is the dealer lying? What should I suppose to do? sad.gif
