MY SA offered me a VIP ticket today (but test drive already fully booked) but after hearing the delivery will be at least early next year, I called off my plan to Sepang. VW is getting snobbish, this I do agree. Despite so many complaint on their service centers, yet so many people flock to buy their cars despite no additional promotion on discount and etc specials.

Can you justify your statement a little more? What exactly makes VW snobbish? Is it because they can only deliver early next year? If so I don't think it's fair to blame VWM for that, they have no control over vehicle production output.

My experience with VW so far has been excellent, from the first time I walked into their show room to the first time I stepped into the service center. Only complaint is they take a little too long to service your car.

Sadly such wonderful experience of yours did not experienced by myself as well as many more members in this thread.

And on the bolded part, that alone without improvement for almost a year now is not VGM fault? Remember on early 2011 GTI buyers ended up not able to get the SE version? In addition the Polo GTI test drive for VIP only, all this are not good enough being justified as being snobbish?

bro it's in a different league lah those cars...  cannot compare just solely based on speed...and putting a $$ value to it by saying why a 135k car beating a 250k car..  coz for e.g. the audi, merc, bmw all are built with a lot of other aspects in mind...    including speed

went to the vw thing at sepang today i must say i'm not impressed at their service level.

Wow I wonder how much spare time you have to spend all this energy complaining about VWM.

And double wow, you don't even own one?

My experience has been good so far. I don't work for VGM. I'm just happy with my purchase.

Rule of thumb in business: unhappy buyers will always make more noise than happy buyers.

And many of the so-called "snobbish" things you say about VGM are simply normal business decisions.

If they were so forthcoming about the GTI SE, who would have bought the normal GTI? They had to finish their stock.

If the Polo GTI is so limited in stock, why should they waste their time giving EVERYONE a test drive? They'll have plenty of time to go mass market when their stocks improve, and they can actually meet the demand.

I do agree on the service though. They should definitely do something about service turnover times. And have more courtesy cars.

I would say unhappy buyers on VW service outnumbered the happy ones currently. Of course no doubt the cars are great.

And yes although those mentioned are business tactics but that does not mean being unhappy (or even happy) buyers have to choose to accept these practices and keep their mouth shut.
