Hmm, that might be a blessing in disguise. AVB won't feel afraid to drop the big stars to bring in other midfielder.

Btw, now only notice we have very little holding midfielders. Only Bison and Mikel, Zhirkov I don't think he suits there, McEachran more advanced better.

Told u guys we were still in for modric!it seems he might force through a transfer after all..well levy did make a gentleman's agreement with him,n it only made sense.both spurs n modric stand to benefit from this transfer, and the contract extension signed previously virtually guarantees that,provided we get them to the negotiating table first.

Might take some time this one..and sure looks a bit more likely compared to the neymar deal,which appears to be dead in the water atm.

between moutinho and modric..we'd probably go for luka. especially since he's now 'at war' with spurs right now. but the bison's injury does put us at a disadvantage, because that means we absolutely need to get someone in, if that wasn't obvious already. we have much less bargaining power as a result.

i fear for essien...some posters at vital chelsea commented that his sheer size is putting excessive strain on his knees, hence the frequent injuries on that region. i'm no doctor, but when u look at essien's size it could be a factor. a specific program for him to lose a few kilograms could do wonders imo. last season wasn't his best, but he's still an asset to CFC when fully fit.

anyone watched copa america this morning? falcao scored a really neat goal vs bolivia, but the off the shoulder run and finish highlights how similar he is to torres. another player we should definitely consider in the event we're priced out of a move for modric, is freddy guarin. been very impressed with his technical ability and stamina for colombia, plus he'll come considerably cheaper than modric/moutinho.

Looks like a training kit. Disappointing efforts by adidas for the away and third kits.

That's leaked 3rd kit. but most likely an official one. Got to say, this look really awful. This doesn't look like a football jersey, it's like a kid's playshirt.
Well, since it's third kit, we ain't gonna use that often.

But one thing, our home kit this year IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

i find that 2nd kit that blue square one is attracting me day by day..
same as the 1st one, at first i didn't like it because i thought we need something fresh and difference...

if the picture above are truly our 3rd kit..

ok i admit we will lost essien for possibly the whole year (fitness issue+recovery+ etc etc..so he will not be at his peak performance next season) but what we need is more backups who can fill the position.

last season, around this period: i heard ppl suggest to drop deco & ballack (age factors, wage high, injury etc etc ) and what we got? the " lamesttttt " midfield display that i've seen since ranieri era.(idk whats the best word, but lammeesstt sounds good to me atleast hehe)

It's very obvious that you're refering my post. Gotta admit, my word "sell him" was a bit too harsh. Apology here.
What I mean is, we can't rely too much on the seniors, I really doubt that Essien will be able fight back and regain his best form after three serious injuries.
I feel sorry for him, what a legend, what a player. And his personality and characteristic is top class if you look at other footballers.

Selling Ballack is one of the worst decision. I remember how he attack on the right flank. Putting on good crosses, pressure on opponent, and making some great passes.
Selling Joe Cole, Ballack, Deco AT THE SAME TIME might be a very terrible decision.

Anyone read we're linked to Parker? that sounds kinda interesting, another player coming back.
Aguero netted brace and Angel scored. Angel rumors is really interesting. Might be an alternative for Andre as his "Chelsea's Hulk".

yes i was pointing to anyone who love to sell this and that player.
i hate malouda to the max last season & FL.. (well i believe, most of us) but not to the extend of selling them straight away.

A: gamble? what gamble? you don't pay any more extra mils for new players, you dont have to wait for few months for new players to gel in. one bad season is ok for me.
but if 2-3 seasons still bad, then IT WILL BE THE BEST TIME to sell players. i dont fancy the idea of buy & sell anymore.

am not saying i'm against on new signings..
but for me, every signing& offloading of players need to be in extra precaution.
