He abit to scared to shoot unlike Sturridge who shoots everywhere tongue.gif

Guess decent enough performance from Torres. Nico now play so well, where to put him next game, bench again as impact sub?

Torres doing very well in the 1st 10minute....at the final mintue i expect him to be a little bit selfish to find his goal but he choose to assist!that was awesome that spirit of teamwork!

Great great game.
What i like:
- Seeing Ballack again
- Interesting lineup and intelligent subs later on. Bringing Anelka and Lampard provide some experience and creativity into the game. Thumbs up performance for Nico.
- AVB's reaction is always a treat to the eye.
- David's goal was nicely finished. He truly deserve it after carrying the ball all the way. Torres is also to be credited. Good eyes.
- Sturridge proves to be the energetic type but subbing him out was the right decision. Eager young lad and he doesnt suit well playing alongside Torres.
- Lampard's performance was alright. Coming in late gives him the energy to play at a higher level compared to the rest.
- Standing ovation for Ballack when he left the field.
- A totally different Chelsea. Our pace is very very much faster compared to last season; and you can clearly see the changes and influence that AVB has implanted inside the team.
- Both the goals were assisted by Torres. I have never doubted him, never a player of our team.

What i didnt like:
- The fast pace playing style result in a lot of error and risk a counterattack. Have to work on those passes.
- Messy defending at times. Probably due to the absence of command from our Captain but then that shouldnt be an excuse. We were lucky to have a clean sheet.
- Clumsy refereeing. Anelka's goal was clearly on-side and the fifth referee didnt see any wrong yet the flag was raised. Same can be said for Torres' first attempt when replay showed Raul actually did not touch the ball; makes me wonder what is the use of the fifth referee. Just watching the goal line?!, come on.

Black Cat Bardsley charged by FA

Bardsley, 26, appeared to stamp on Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata but was not punished by referee Lee Probert. However, having retrospectively reviewed the incident, the FA has now decided to charge Bardsley, who has already been sent off this season in August's 1-0 loss to Newcastle.

Should Bardsley accept the charge then a three-match ban would follow, meaning the Scotland international would miss the games against Stoke, Norwich and West Brom.

I noticed sometimes his positioning abit off Torres. Now if Torres can keep his head just like today, Stamford Bridge we don't have a problem. Man Utd next.

great performances, great goals, great offiside judgments!
torres assisted very well....anelka shud be awarded the goal..its clear on-side...i still remembered the commentator said...does the linesman intentionally wanted leverkusen a equaliser? nice one....its clearly showed the ref is bribed!

the reason chelsea played fast football because they left out aging stars, slow paced...1st half was brilliant from chelsea...2nd half leverkusen played well...credit to cech, he was the game changer....imagine ballack scored...it will be either a draw outcome...

cant wait for this same line-up against manu...a tougher opponent!....our defences, momentum is 2nd half for first 20 mins was not good...we shud always focus....as in 1st half!

Decent win for Chelsea!

We had good luck with decisions going for us and defensive mistakes going unpunished but bad luck with the inaccurate offside calls, otherwise we would have had an early goal from Torres which would've shut the press up for awhile.

Bosingwa still gives me that nervous feeling defensively but does alright going forward. Don't expect him to have many forays forward this Sunday.

Anelka seems to play better in Europe, at one point I couldn't believe my eyes when he bamboozled his way past two defenders. His passing though, still lets him down at times.

I hope Mata doesn't burn out before the season's end as I foresee us relying a lot on him as the team's fulcrum.

Torres was let down by his control numerous times but had good positioning sense and looked interested today. Hoping for more this Sunday.

All in all, a 7 out of 10 performance. Markedly improved from the previous EPL games. Hopefully we're transitioning into the type of game AVB envisions.

Imagine how much better we'd be with a playmaker in place?

My stream doesn't go really well today, can't judge a lot.
Great square ball by Torres to Mata, great run as well.
Though 2 assist, he doesn't contribute a lot today. Could've score with his first touch when Mata crossed the ball to him on the first 10 minutes. Great effort by him at around second minute too.
I am not sure whether his unselfish play is a good thing, but hopefully the two assists can boost his confidence, he's still lacking of confidence.

Mata was awesome, everywhere on the pitch, great ball control and his crosses were awesome. Not sure whether Sturridge can play a perfect role at the right wing, but he's doing alright today.

Not a bad sign to see AVB drop Lampard instead of Mikel. I really fancy Mikel, with him in the team, our fullbacks are a lot more comfortable to go forward, it's really obvious if you compare Sunderland match and this match.

What a goal by Luiz! This is the type of goal you expect from Torres. Low and nice little curve in the ball.
Would like to see him starting against MU.

Not really convinced with our team build up plays, but good signs are coming up. Tough opponents like MU might sharpen the players.

P/s: And, we got the best result in Europe today! icon_rolleyes.gif
