QUOTE(francisbacon7 @ Jul 29 2011, 10:54 AM) going to make a rent arrangement, do I need any document when signing the rental agreement? I only get my E pass approval, not even get my IPA letter. You renting the whole unit or just a room.It depends, most owners through an agent will require you to sign a tenancy agreement outlining the various provisions which are in favour of the landlord. If its just a verbal agreement, then you have to be careful since theres no black and white to back up your claims. QUOTE(ashland @ Jul 29 2011, 12:28 PM) When i first came to singapore, i rented with an older single lady, a divorcee mind you and i quickly found out why she became a divorcee and why she constantly blames her husband for her failed marriage. Plus she's the religious type.So i too would suggest that the last option is to rent from a single older lady. Gay's i;ve found are very accommodating as a landlord. So long as you tell them your straight as an arrow. This post has been edited by crapp0: Jul 29 2011, 12:39 PM |

i googled, i dont wanna google for bookshops.
i'm not forcing you to find out and tell me which bookstore sells that book. just trying to find out if anyone has purchased the book anywhere, or know someone that has gotten the book from a specific bookshop. that's why i ask in forums. not asking for any spoonfeed. i was just asking politely. i wont mind if you don't answer at all. anyway, thanks ivan. i'll try that if i cant find in pageone This post has been edited by paranoid: Jul 29 2011, 02:27 PM |

Well my landlord was mentioning about heavy electricity too. Said that switching on another fan is waste when I felt it is actually hot weather in the night with just single ceiling fan. I told him that only it will be switched on at night time, but unfortunately he said that "this is his house and his rules" if I can't follow then it is better that I look for another better air circulation room after the end of contract. OMG!! One Stand fan was like 50w where the hell it will cost him that much of electricity bills. Haizzz.... |

When I was in college, I rented a room from an old lady and her spinster daughter. Suffice it to say, there was very little privacy and I rarely got to do what I wanted.
After that, I have never lived with a landlord/landlady ever again. If I had to work harder, take a night job at 7-11... whatever, I made sure I always rented my own place. Right now, I smell like foreign workers from the MRT, sprawled on my couch, surfing, watching TV, 3 fans on, not wearing any pants... and no one can stop me ;p |

TEP appeal rejected.
The HR said that "The reason – The prospective employee does not meet their criteria for approval." haiz.. dont know what's the exact reason again. Anyone got any idea of what is the possible problem? Any forumer or any HR people here got any idea on this? This post has been edited by venicelim: Jul 29 2011, 06:16 PM |
