just bought it a week ago. satisfied with the performance but quite disappointed with the battery. aiyoo.. tak tahan lama maa. and very hot!
everything else is ok.

any suggestion for IBM wallpaper download ? cool softwares ? or anything regarding IBM ?

Press the Access IBM button and go from there.
Make sure the ThinkVantage app called software installer is installed as well. It'll make life a breeze in keeping your drivers upto date directly with Lenovo. Can update BIOS too. Other app to have is Access Connections to manage my multiple network configs automatically (if you like to go wireless at home, coffeehouse, foodcourt & work).

is the PC-fair for 2006 confirmed ??? is there much diff if i buy the thinkpad during the pc-fair or b4 the pc fair ?

from my experience, usually the price is not so much different la. last time (pc-fair at penang), found out they sell things quite pricey lah. aiyoo dunno why. if i'm the one who's going to spend the money, i won't wait until pc-fair. maybe BEFORE pc-fair or AFTER pc-fair (unsell/left stock is same price/cheaper from pc-fair) but not at that time. i just bought anything below RM1k at pc-fair. but that's me. it's up to u.

i agree ram which kingston certified thinkpad is more better.

usually in PC-FAIR u can get much much more free stuff which really worth it.

hey does anyone here got problem with Rescue and Recovery ?
when i push Access IBM button and click Backing Up and Restoring Data, it says that It couldn't find the application which is Rescue and Recovery for my R52. how to settle this ? i've update the softwares and drivers.

As far as I know... it only works if the original OS is still there. If it was reinstalled then the backup utility won't work

harrrrr .... means lets say the thinkpad comes wit a XP home then i update it will fake XP professional then the rescue thingy all mati? ....

btw another question .... if i buy a thinkpad then go aussie to study then how do i find out where is the service center in-case the laptop breaks down? i tried to search online and they keep asking me for the serial number which i dont have and i cant find out where is the service center .... pls help out .... and i ask the techdos guy, he asked me to check online .... i also stoned d ....

when u install p windows xp pro and u delete the hidden partition(ibm hidden it for the rescue & recovery),then u will not able to recovery using the rescue and recovery lo.unless when u install,u dint delete that partition.in your case,i think u delete liao.so if u wish to get back that,u have to sent to ibm service centre(got charge la)

how can i know whether i have mistakenly deleted the hidden partition or not ? in my case, i just recover the OS by reinstalling it using the Access IBM button at start-up.

u can know it as it will serectly eaten up sum of ur hdd space silently punya, u can check by windows exploring it.
