hi there, IBM R52 owner here. i just got it for 2 months.
Spec:
-Centrino 1.7Ghz
-512DDRII
-40GB ( not enought for me sad.gif )
-chipset 915GM ( VGA onbard)

that spec is higher than my previous one,R40. but the performance seem no better at all.
R40 has one the best heatsink / cooling system that i have ever known. its so cool even after long time continous running. but the R52 is a little bith hotter.
Austin : my previous R40 need only 13s to boot and load windown biggrin.gif but my recent r52 need around 20s sad.gif

R40e user here:-
- celeron 2ghz
- 512mb ddr
- 40gb HDD
- ATI vga onboard ( 16 mb)

Just good enough for my daily usage , word, presentation ,etc.
but battery getting weaker - less than 1 hr usage.
