If you want 1G RAM, then you gotta buy additional 1GB RAM. Plus the default RAM 256 tat will be 1G + 256MB = 1080MB. Ask for free gift if possible.

aiks.. holiday till my math calculation also become lousy.. haha.. standard one math oso cannot calculate well.. Ya.. the RAM is indeed not enough, got to add another stick. For me, I got 512MB RAM free when I purchased my laptop. If you are in tight budget, try considering to add 512MB 1st.. Or ask for free RAM upgrade.

jamezco: Yes. It's KTM-TP3840/1G. It's possible that the performance will increase if u use IBM certified RAM. For me 512 + 256 is enough. Dunno if it's enough for u o not..

actually DDR2 ram are faster compare to the DDR ram tat are used in the pcs rite ?

faster by 2 times or only like 50% ... coz my com (desktop) is P4 (2.4GHz), with 768 ram and it's running ok already ....

btw .... 1 laptop only have 1 extra slot rite ? or 2 extra slot? ... example Z60t (black)

and then wat is the real run time for IBM Z series laptops ... coz i read the review from cnet.com they said Z series can last for 3 hours wor the batt ... true a not wor ....

I think so...
me 768 also mah...
Speed not bad.

Normally 1 laptop provide 2 slot
so if it come with 256 ,then u only got 1 more free slot loh.

Cnet.com review normally quite true on battery life.
