And which new model got serial and parallel port??
For those which dun hv, got any device that can add these 2 ports on it?? like docking station or some kind of port replicator?

all new models T/R/X61 series of thinkpad doesnt comes w serial and parallel, as u said they got docking stand for these 2 ports

I bought T60 yesterday. It's very nice so far...fast, reliable...but it has come with no IBM logo..Argghh !...It's really sad...engineers know how IBM was in their life..with no IBM logo are like u drove BMW stick with perodua logo..where can i get IBM logo sticker ?..or there is IBM T60 casing ever sold ?..

Get the stickers from ebay and apply it yourself.

Why is the IBM sticker so important, since it's not even an IBM product anymore. Lenovo sounds like a good name too.

IBM logo not important. All new thinkpads doesn't come with it anymore coz its call LENOVO THINKPAD now.

hi guys, my company got me a T60 IBM Thinkpad OS winXPpro 2 weeks ago. im having this problem. im not sure is post b4. but after reading for many page, i still cant find the solution.

this is what im facing. i always need to show some short video file to my customer at the site. so as normal, i did not plug in the power supply. when the video file finish playing, my screen always turn into black or blinking. after that i cant do anything and i just push the power key to shut down my T60.
this does not happen if i had plug the power supply. I also install the ThinkVantage System Update 3.0 to keep my T60 updated with the lattes driver and so...... but untill now, it does not solve my problem yet.

please give me some advice.

how bout bios update? and did u tried to use other video player?

if im not mistaken, the last Bios Version i update is
-79ETD4WW (2.14)
Btw, how do i check what bios version im using now?

im using WMP and CyberLink. all video player give me the same problem.

Ya that is d latest bios version le (2.14)..
To check your bios (Press ThinkVantage (BlueButton) when u on ur Thinkpad then press F1) On the 1st page u can see your bios detail.
Btw bro do u use the "Thinkvantage System Update" see if u miss to update any important stuff from them? And if can try get new vga driver or reinstall it..

I nvr face those problem b4, my bios is 2.17, i'm using R60 w gma950

i oso skip the system update, i feel more confident on manual update via website

u can use cpuz to check, page 2 of the program
