Its good to know that R60 support 4GB RAM. rclxms.gif
Since most of the application and games doesn't utilise this huge amount of RAM and also the expensive price, I think it is not a wise idea to upgrade now.I can live with 1.24 GB RAM I have now. laugh.gif

thanks wtm0325. How bout other R60 users ?
Can i know where is the IBM center ? :>

My R60 is soft on the ThinkVantage button area. However the Fn key area is smooth like the arrow key on the other end.

I think the IBM center is in KL Sentral..and I heard they got one new building somewhere near One Utama.(not sure)

1) disconnect laptop from current including battery
2) close the lid, go to the bottom and unscrew 4 screws where ram icon located
3) open lid, pull the palm rest by holding the joint at fn and right arrow key, u need to pull harder to get the whole palm rest off
4) u'll c a wire connected from touchpad to motherboard, u can dismantle it and reassemble later
5) take out the metal in the middle, and install the ram

Thanks for your guidance. smile.gif

T61 should be lighter and better overall performance than R61, thus I will choose T61 but with RM 6000 I m not sure can get T61 because I know R61 is selling around RM 5500++ already. hmm.gif

IBM logo not important. All new thinkpads doesn't come with it anymore coz its call LENOVO THINKPAD now.

The X100e is aimed at business users and marks the collaboration between Lenovo and AMD in offering AMD processors on ThinkPad laptops.

Users can choose to equip the X100e with an AMD Athlon Neo single or dual-core processor or an AMD Turion dual-core processor.
However the AMD Turion dual-core processor models will only be available by March this year, the company said.
The notebook comes with Lenovo’s ThinkVantage technologies i.e. hardware and software tools that help users deploy, manage and maintain their PCs or notebooks.
The X100e is designed to be comfortable to use with an 11.6in high-definition LED display and full-size keyboard with a multi-touch touchpad and trackpoint to make navigation easier, Lenovo said.
It has a starting weight of 1.36kg and battery life of up to 5.1 hours. In terms of connectivity the X100e comes with 802.11n WiFi and optional Bluetooth and 3G connection.

Other specifications include up to 4GB of memory and a 320GB of hard disk. To protect the X100e, Lenovo’s ThinkPad protection covers repairs resulting from accidents, drops and spills.
Lenovo also provides the ThinkPlus priority support service, a 24/7 business-class technical support for IT professionals responsible for maintaining PCs and notebooks.
Lenovo also has a hard disk retention service, where it allows customers to keep their hard drive in case of damage or failure, thus ensuring the data remains safely in their hands.

The X100e retails from RM1,669 onwards
