mine dun have such rev... last time got people complaint this.. CKK also mention is about the air con... u try to off lo..
but i swear to the god mine dun have such things.. it might be normal.. coz air flow need to come in... rpm rev is normal.. but u say  1cm like that up and down frequently then i dunno... no such said for below 5 K mileage is like that...
me 3K only also dun have =.=
*
OOoo air cond eh I think is most probably coz the car is not warmed up yet that's why the rev like that + my air con was on. I think is quite normal. You try morning start engine see the rpm got up and down anot. On air cond too kay? XD

hi guys curious to know a few things.
i've been avoiding proton cars since my nightmare owning a wira.
so tell me about the inspira.

1. is the 2.0 with cvt the exact same thing in the mitsu version?
2. how would u rate the 1.8 manual? fast? sluggish? easy to shift?
3. is the 1.8 old tech or new tech? people told me it is old tech from previous gen lancers.
4. build quality how?
5. fuel consumption/range for 2.0 cvt and 1.8 manual per full tank, how much per full tank?
6. are spare parts expensive? whats the price for ori brake pads from proton?

I asked my SA he said inspira below 5k mileage is normal to have revs like that. The guy meant revving about 1cm i guess ? coz mine rev about 1cm when I reverse can hear the engine sound reving.
*
it is normal, it will fluctuate quite abit especially during cold starts.

btw, it could also be due to steering(hydraulic steering taps power from the engine), Aircond, and sometimes, even your HU.

dont worry too much la, i havent heard any 4b11 having problems so far

Is it normal that some noise from the gear box can be heard as you accelerate? The noise is similar to water boiling sound.

1. yes
2. dont know, i only have the 2.0P
3. the 1.8 and 2.0 has variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust cams - just like dual vvt-i and dual cvvt for hyundai.
4. mine so far so good, just have some rattling sound from the driver's door pedal when driving over rough surfaces.
5. 2.0, 9-10km/l for city and 13-14km/l for highway.
6. spare parts still unknown as most of them are from japan.im not sure about the brake pads yet. i dont think anyone could give you and answer on that yet.

if dont like proton, move on to T and H. your money, no1 forcing you to get one. smile.gif

during cold start eh? it is the characteristic of our 4b series engine, sounds like diesel engines especially during cold starts.

Ckk edi answered all the question above which is quite similar to everyone. I will let you know that I'm just like you ... I don't trust Proton at all but after getting Inspira 2.0p I checked everything my car has no defects .... defects are all depend on luck, even H&T has defect vehicles is normal for all the other brand. I'm a satisfy owner of inspira, well temporary still havent find any problem with my car.
