I have never said that 2.5L Camry get only 580+ km range on a full tank.

BTW, the fuel tank's volume is 7L.

I need to check back the manual (if I got time) regarding the meaning of the term "cruising range".
Thats why i asked u what u were trying to show us. Ive said many times before to provide some form of explanation when u post something. Can't always expect us to read your mind bro.

Camry fuel tank is 70L but its usually more than that just like other cars.No need to check the meaning of the term bro. Its the same concept for most cars. Iv already checked.

So when u gonna tell us your actual mileage for town driving?

Never light up? You sure or not? When fuel tank nearly empty, if it don't light up then how to know if you nearing empty tank or not?
*
I never experienced nearly empty tank. But, the picture I posted has nothing to do with that light.

Added on August 28, 2012, 2:46 pmDriving on timur-barat highway (mountain), I have found that Camry 2.5V is a bit slower during start-up for a few seconds, and hence A 2.0L last gen Civic left me stucked behind slower cars.

Then what's the pic about la? rclxub.gif

Plus for your info, the light doesnt come on when the tank is almost empty. You have clear warning long before it happens.

In the Optima, its a 4 stage warning:

1) DTE goes blank when remaining fuel range drops below 50km
2) Low fuel light comes on when 2 digital bars of fuel remaining (out of max 12)
3) 2nd bar disappears (30km range left)
4) Last digital bar starts blinking (20km range left)

But this range after the DTE disappears is based on actual distance travelled which can mean a longer period depending on your driving style.

But based on my experience, under economical driving, the 1 DTE kilometer = 1.5 actual km.

So the figure shown of 9.9km/l is for 100% city driving?

Nope, it's from my last Raya 1600++km trip for a mix of everything, but, high speed on highway.

I think safe to assume 70% highway and 30% city with that kind of mileage.

The 1600++ km details:
1. Kangar -> KL (highway)
2. some city driving
3. KL -> KK (High speed in highway) -> Jeli (Mountain) -> KB (city - with lots of traffics)
4. some city driving
5. KB -> Jeli (city) -> Gerik (Mountain) -> SP -> Kangar (very high speed in highway)

Just give us the full tank mileage for 100% city. Much easier than all this city, mountain, highway. rclxub.gif

A friend of mine was given a queue number of 3902 for the new Hyundai Elantra and that's in Malaysia alone. Can you imagine having 3,902 ppl waiting for delivery? No wonder the delivery time is now 6 months. shocking.gif

But the booking number still surprise me, as i thought the sales will be lose to Forte, since Forte is cheaper and more gadget to play. sweat.gif

Since wait so long, tell your friend take other CBU car with similar waiting period, better built quality. brows.gif

Where have I seen that rear end before... oh right, http://www.carsuk.net/wp-content/gallery/2...rd-mondeo-1.jpg
Oh, and the front also looks familiar... http://www.powerup2020.com/images/2012-BMW...iew-750x495.jpg

I mean, seriously Kia, it does look nice, but it's weird that just after certain features were shown to the public your cars start to feature those features too. Can't remember something truly original from Kia... the Soul perhaps, but that looks a bit like a Nissan Cube.

U still havent grown up yet eh? Maybe try the Disney thread after this? U might get someone of your wavelength there to converse with you. biggrin.gif

Btw, how much adaptation do u need to fill a full tank of fuel and take a reading from the mileage meter? Maybe ure still trying to locate the fuel gauge but kepalapening has provided us with much more info bout the Camry. Or maybe u have a reading problem too which prevents u from reading previous posts? drool.gif

doh.gif
From kepalapening posting it's clear that he's not a car person.....just read his post and you can see he is trying to share stuff he ffound easily in his new ride...give him some time to adapt to his car la...why force him rudely?he needs to purposely fill up a tank of petrol and do a full city drive demonstration just to fulfill your egoness....can't you just wait?can't wait then just hit the Google search button for other ppl's review on the city driving fc lo...

The next YOU or I that you guys talk about and not about cars will get you ONE WEEK suspension. You can't even talk about cars with dragging each other into the discussion.

I guess I will have to seriously consider removing all fanboy topics or move them all to kopitiam. There is no point having those topics in here if you can't discuss without calling names.
