20lb
8-17lb rod
any reel that can sustain 100m lines

Lures:
Any lures is allright to use. Only single hook allowed. This is to prevent additional injuries to the fish.

My heaviest setup is 8-14lbs rod, 12lbs line. The other is 2-4 rod with 5lbs line, which I have yet to open ceremony.

Since we are having the TT, might as well make it more interesting in such that there is a mini family competition amongst us?

My proposal: Additional RM10 per angler.

Winner will grab 70% of the amount, 1st runner up will be 30% of the amount.

Otherwise, a cert of appreciate for the gathering? or a plaque for the winner if monetary not viable. I could seek for assistance from LYN...

anglers central in ss4 only have tuffline down to min of 10lbs. anything lower have to go to kl adi, the shop near merdeka stadium according to the sze liang of angler's central.

You won't stand a chance. I done it before using 5 lbs braided with 3g micro spoon and line snapped on hookup. That's not even at the spot where all the big mommas hang out.
