may i know if the fish will really survive if it is caught and released back to the water despite all the energy is used in tackling the fisher?

to make sure it survives, first of all u need to be extra careful when landing it, and when releasing it back, make sure it has the strength to swin again, for air breather fishes, make sure then have the energy to take a breath, hold them in the water first, if they got the strength to swim again then most probably they will survive

First you must make sure to land the fish as soon as possible. Some people like to tire the hell out of the fish or playing tug of war, don't do that. fish build up lactic acids during fights, which oxygen depletes. putting them back into the water and having them swim to get oxygen to reduce the acidity. the best way of helping the fish to get oxygen is to hold the fish and push its body, mouth against the current, to let more water into its mouth. fish can't breathe if they don't swim, but if they are to tire to swim because of exhaustion, you need to make water flow into its mouth.
but sometimes you think it's a big fish that you must take photo, do it fast, and make sure everyone's in the picture (don't pass the fish one person to another to take picture, it'll be more fatal the longer it leaves water)

Last time during the 90s, mustad hooks were very famous.
If im not mistaken they were almost declared bankrupt not too long ago until they got bought over.

Hi All Anglers,
Due to the reason of ORGYnizing a TT for fellow anglers here in LYN, i have communicated with the owner of Jurassic Pond at Rawang.

The pay pond is famed for it's ferocious Toman and Haruan. It does not have any other type of fish besides these two Channa family. However, the pay pond is only meant for catch and release.

For the benefit of LYN anglers, he is willing to assist in making this a successful outing. He is offering RM100 for 4 hours of fishing. The best biting time would be from 4pm onwards till 8pm.

My proposal to the LYN anglers, is to pot luck with beer/drinks while fishing. In this case, everyone here in LYN will get to place a name to the face smile.gif

I also intend to bring my sponsor for you guys to test some Rapala lures as well as some Shimano gears. There will not be any freebies but more towards the exposure and test of the rod/reel/lures.

What say you fellas?

Bro Viox,
Perhaps a Saturday would do? Please propose date

Bro Viox,
Are you heading to P9?

If P9 GT, you dont need a 100~150g poppers. You just need those regular size of 7~12cm dog or pencil for these GT. Ultimately, it's more towards the action that is being produced, rather than the size and weight.

Bro Viox,
You are performing jigging or bottom at P9?

If jigging, 20lb is sufficient ler.
If bottom, i'm unsure as i dont use baits. I'm a lure guy! biggrin.gif
