I think the structure of the programme is already fixed, i.e. 2+2. I am not sure if there is any successful chance like that though. No harm emailing the Director of Studies for Pharmacy though. But then, why want like that?

that's extremely disappointing ....... if not campus employment then what about the Dean's excellence scholarship .... is it offered to the top 10% of each course???? and will it be offered after the 1st semester exams or the second???..... i've seen the sponsorship details and i don't think there is any sponsorship for an indian student such as myself.... except the Kaust sponsorship.. and they haven't really given any details regarding that.........someone please help me out!!!! icon_question.gif

I think the scholarship is re-assessed every academic year. So you need to get into the top 10% by the end of your 1st year to qualify. Please take the effort to email the staffs here, ask them about the scholarship opportunities for an Indian like you. Also, follow up any local scholarship yourself. Such initiative could return you with a good scholarship package, definitely worth it.

Funnily though.. they were like 15 people in Economics class last year.. so top 10%.. I presume 2 person? Hahahas why did they discontinue the annual High Achiever Scholarships (now it's only first year and the minimal requirement has increased).. D=< they are really reluctant to give out money, aren't they? Blood suckersss

Did you know.. the minimum requirement here for Pharmacy is the same as the minimum requirement for Pharmacy there in the UK Nott? (AAB) =) Sorry to say, but there's no back door for you. Nottingham doesn't take it from the back rolleyes.gif

I've been offered a single, non-aircon room with shared bathroom at Pangkor/Kapas. Anyone can tell me what this type of room is like? I take it the bathroom is in between two rooms and with two doors? Do we have to clean the bathroom ourselves or does the hall provide a cleaning service? How big is the room? And can we bring our own fan?

Just realised I'm sharing quite a number of modules with them. Planning to see if there's any senior who has books to sell.

it's the same room i've been alotted in kapas hall....... since they did not offer u an ensuite bath room... u've been allotted the  "Single Shared Bathroom in 5 room flat" .... i'm assuming u have to just pay 700R.M to book it ryt???...... neway i do not know the basic layout of the rooms but what the accommodation office e-mailed me was that "it’s a flat with 5 single room where student get to stay in a single room alone. they will have to share a common bathroom consisting 2 shower cubicles, 2 toilet cubicles and 3 washing basin."

Erm no...mine is the "Single Shared Bathroom without air-con @ RM435 per student (inclusive of internet connection)". The deposit that I have to pay is RM1655.00. I have no idea how many people I will have to share the bathroom with and this is beginning to scare me. sad.gif

ohh... mine is the same room except i had to pay just 700RM to book it........ all the details i wrote previously r of the same room "Single Shared Bathroom in 5 room flat"
if u have any confusion look at the rates of all the rooms ..... there is only one type of room at RM 435 monthly rent and this is the one..... unfortunately u will be sharing the bathroom with 4 other people

Mine doesn't say "in 5-room flat". I'm going to check with them again on Monday.

In can only be the 5 room flat, considering the other one is called a Single Shared Ensuite Bathroom.

Thanks. I didn't notice that. I wish they'd be more clear in their correspondence. I'm going to turn down their offer as I'm not going to share a bathroom with four other people.

Be sure to have good alternative because you still get to have a personal room. Think wise I would say.
