Nice to meet you too! I am a year 2 student in next sem. Hehe. The lecturers are nice in year one so you don't need to worry about that ( If they do not change the lecturer ).

Hi! I am currently taking the course so maybe I can give some opinion to you. You need to wait a long period for your offer letter since they need long time to progress. Haha. OK back to the topic. From I know, The lecturer in year 1 is nice. You will be arranged into a large lecture hall and having class with all your course mates. The notes usually will be provided by lecturer in class but sometimes they will ask you to print out from Student Intranet. Some lecturers like to leave some blank there and let you to fill in it ( To force student pay attention in his/ her class! ). Usually lecturers will put all lecture notes on U drive but some do not. They hope student can attend all lecture and get their own notes by themselves.

You can bring anything you want into the lecture hall. I think e-textbooks shouldn't be a problem? I didn't buy the textbooks too last year. I don't think buying them is compulsory and YES you can find what you need in the library. But the books always are borrowed by someone.    I am lazy and cheap too!

For on-campus accommodation, uni admission office will send you the accommodation form after you secured your place. Fill in the form and fax ( or mail? ) back to them. After that just wait for the news! Btw, sometimes you cannot get your first choice room due to too much application.

For off-campus, you can find your own room outside. There are a lot of rooms available in TTS, BSS and Taman Pelangi. You can also refer some classified in Lowyat here! Usually the price of off-campus will be lower than on-campus.

i see....will check out off campus as well since i'm trying to save as much as possible.... 
besides that,how are the pc labs? cause i do not have a laptop so i'm hoping that i can rely on their computers for assignments/projects in the future

The department head will send you a mail directly to your personal mail box if they reject your application. But I hope you will not get it. Haha. UNMC combined Chem Eng and Chem with Env Eng in year 1. It means that the module in year 1 in both courses is same. Besides that the entry requirement of both courses are exactly same. You need to decide which course you take in year 1 but you can change it after that with strong reason support. 

It would be nice if I know the status of my application by this weekend lol, if they reject it, I still have time to apply to other uni xD

If no luck then just work with my diploma then re-apply for the next intake xD
I took chem. eng (env) for diploma. So i was thinking i would be better off taking the same for degree. But if theres no room, I don't mind taking Chem. Eng.

As you said, the module are the same in the 1st year, the 2nd year is almost the same as well lol..

By the way, will they notify me regarding my application status by email or mail? Cause for my mailing address, i use my home address in Kuching Sarawak lol, I'm currently at ampang staying at my aunt's house lol

Also another thing lol, lets say i'm interested in the inter-campus exchange program, is it available for chem. eng students?? what are the requirements to participate?? I did read the details in Link. But i wanna ask just in case theres additional requirement xd

...bla bla bla...  There are 3 TCR in campus. Computers there is enough support for assignments and projects. TCR1 is open for 24 hours so you do not need to worry. Btw, some computers are out of order and sometimes keep lagging.    It's better you save your work frequently to avoid any tragedy...bla bla bla...

I find this statement deeply deceiving... There's never enough computer to support assignments and projects as they are always used to play Tetris.

A word of advice, always get things done early.. There was this girl, her assignment was considered late (~30mins) cause she couldn't find a computer to print it out. She was making a rather dramatic scene at the office... lol

there is 3 TCR and alot of comp labs all around. so chill. there is other places to print. the girl probably havent explore the whole campus yet.

You probably haven't explored the campus in assignment season yet.

Hi all.

Currently I just finished my Chemical Engineering at our nottingham uni. And I am applicable to take MEng. And I am under scholarships.

But I didnt know which one is better, MEng or MSc. The reason here I ask is because I am under scholarship and I didnt know whether my Scholar will support my tutition fees for MSc but my scholarship agreement stated that I can pursue for MEng. And I also didnt know which one is better. I planned to take PhD all the way after my master if I manage to score well.

So any suggestion should I take MEng or MSc for future?

true. all printers will start jamming and unable to print during the peak hour(hour before assignments deadline)

so in conclusion...its possible rely my assignments solely with the pc there provided being the early bird?
(i do not own a laptop so yeah...)
