just checked, as screenshot and comment no arrow key or need combination for arrow keys.... would not be my choice then

yeah thumb keyboard looks so much better. but how is the responsiveness? does it got any lag or some sort because im gonna buy this keyboard

OTA release again!

Easy way is to use XDA Full Update 3.1 (Not OTA) install to SD_Acer_A500_4.010.22_COM_GEN1.zip then once install do a system update and it brings it to .38. I just did it.

any difference between .22 gen1 and the latest ota? or is it a different region update?

upgraded my to Acer_A500_4.010.40_COM_GEN1 this morning. The process was generally smooth, unlike to 3.1OTA.
This time even if i did remove some system app. I can still install the update with no problem.

The root status is no affected with this minor update.

Yesterday tested with my A500, the battery life is very good. With 5hours+ gaming (Plants vs Zombies), the bar still in halfway mark. But this might due to i have freeze a lot of un-use apps. from the system using titanium pro.

but beware... if the updates... is not for the removed system app... then ok... if for the removed system apps... then... T.T

but why I cannot update? I had rooted my iconia... then press unroot after that downloading update.... When the iconia boot and try to install the update.... half way then triangle pop out......

can someone enlighten me what wrong with my procedure? Please?????

i've just updated mine to .40 gen1 a few minutes ago. i didnt unroot it, just straight away download and update. after update and restart, root is still there. very smooth and painless update i would say.

update to .38 early this morning, strange is the screen auto on and off happens and more frequent, will try .40 ...

hm.. no .40 OTA for me..

.40 only for .24 and .38 is for .22

i see, O.o getting very messy update builds....

need some help, i got 1 unit with a500_1.139.04_com_gen1, but i cant update to 3.1, always get the "your device is up to date", stuck on HC3.01

Hello, I am currently considering on A500 or Transformer. Have read thru some reviews but still have some questions. Would appreciate it if anyone can help out.

The main purpose is for business presentation use. Mainly using Microsoft Excels. Wifi surfing, checking mails, reading ebooks and some games and musics.

And will either be possible to run flash software (which require installation)?

Both can do the tasks mentioned... FYI, only simple excels formula available in tab.

flash software do you mean thorugh browser or dedicated flash player?

ICONIA - can plug-in external hdd / thumbdrive.
Transformer - need docking

ermm the excel spreadsheets are prepared in PC, but there are options which u can choose and the calculations will change accordingly. Can the reader support that?
