I got my yesterday.
I have encountered one particular nasty bug with bluetooth. After 1 successful file transfered from my SGS, all subsequent transfer failed. No matter how i tried, even removing the profile and rescan the bluetooth device.
Very interesting. Any one have any idea with this?

Beside buggy bluetooth file transfer, others thing seems fine so far.

ok, found the root cause of my bluetooth file transfer woe. Looks like HC is the culprit blocking the .apk file from transfering thru. bluetooth.

Managed to get Papago M8 + latest MFM map to run in my A500 but the performance is below average. Feel sluggish.

I'm having this problem as well but after some digging i found out that this is due to the screen reading is not refresh properly. Just go to setting>status then go back out to main screen, this force it to show the correct value again.

Hopefully the new update will address this issue.

It seems like a lot of people are having this problem, myself included.
I have to did this three time in order to get it done. The first 2 tries failed with "update is invalid".
Only after i did a factory reset then it allowed me to proceed with no problem. Weird.

upgraded my to Acer_A500_4.010.40_COM_GEN1 this morning. The process was generally smooth, unlike to 3.1OTA.
This time even if i did remove some system app. I can still install the update with no problem.

The root status is no affected with this minor update.

Yesterday tested with my A500, the battery life is very good. With 5hours+ gaming (Plants vs Zombies), the bar still in halfway mark. But this might due to i have freeze a lot of un-use apps. from the system using titanium pro.

Have anyone of you tried the free Dungeon Hunter 2 from gameloft? I think ICS break the game. After reinstalling the game won't startup

The improvement is huge. Overall performances are up. Previously, PPS did not work with A500, now it works perfectly. The playback is smooth with no lag at all(by the way, i am using unifi).
However, it breaks a few games in the process, guess its a small price we need to pay

Will be receiving my A510 today to replace my old A500. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

Just tried Zenonia 4 on my brand new A510, the performance surprisingly very disappointed. Slow and sluggish compare to my existing A500. Guess the software is not optimized for Tegra3.
And downloaded Dark Meadow for Tegra 3 from Playstore. Unfortunately, the game is unplayable with flashing white screen

I would say if you have A500, just hold on to it as there are not too many software supporting it. In fact A500 runs some of the legacy software better than A510. But you really need a quad core tablet then its worth it. I got my at RM1270.

Actually, SenQ is not that bad. I got my A500 and Ipad2 from them too. Their service is ok but of course that depend on branch also. If you are a member, you have an extra year of warranty on the unit you buy, not bad.

Been searching high and low for the A510 case, very difficult to locate one especially from Penang. I am using back my A500 case temporary until i could find a proper one for it.

Agreed. their interest free payment scheme is very attractive. Sad to hear that they don't bring in the new A510 to your place in this time. But i believe they will, sooner or later.

I am not recommending getting A700 cause Tegra 3 is not powerful enough to push that kind of insane volume of pixel to screen.
Besides, the warming issue will simply kill A700 easily as the present temperature is already on the borderline. Any bit of an increase will surely annoy the user.

Hacked version might not be stable and getting the wrong version which meant for or type of CPU/system can also introduce stability issue.

So far, I have tried Shadowgun Tegra3, Riptide GP Tegra3, Dark Meadow The Pact and some others. With the initial white screen problem which can be fixed with simple restart, all are running smoothly with no problem after a reset.

Where did you get your leather case from? I am interested with the case cause it is very difficult to find one in Pg.
