Maxis exclusitivity is telco exclusitivity, not retail exclusitivity. This means that of all the Telcos, only Maxis can sell bundled with package, but if selling retail set, any one can get from SME and sell. Usually telco exclusitivity is quite long, a few months.

Rarely got telco get retail exclusitivity, but one example was the HTC Desire Z, which only Maxis can sell when it first launched. Not even retailers can get SIS sets.

im still using Digi unlimited internet plan, bought the SGS II without subscription to Maxis plan, now enjoying internet so much.. i tell ya, Youtube never stuck even a bit while streaming! and i watch video streaming almost everyday.

Anyone using GoLauncher tried to set 3G Watchdog (BIG).

I have tried to set it out but appears to be small.

Do I have to set anything in GoLauncher?

Agree i heard my friend called Digi.. they say Maxis hold the exclusively for 3-6mths...

anybodi know how YES 3g works on this phone? seems lke they don't need sim cards..

i know..i tested btwn those two..i would say maxis is a bit faster...

Im port to DiGi from Maxis since last year end when signed for Desire HD package, last time when using SGS with Maxis always need to care about how much data had been used, now with DiGi im not even need to install 3G Watch Dog, my data always on 24/7.

if you are in the right spot, yes, maxis download speed will be higher. digi cap their download speed to only abt 700kbps. a nice summary of bband packages can be found @ soyacincau

Does anybody have any idea which Maxis center has the S2 in stock?

I was on the Celcom BB Storm open voice plan and they had a corporate broadband package where one can could have unlimited download for 99RM monthly, when i ported to Maxis for the IP4, I opted for the 50RM voice plan and 68RM 3GB corporate plan which was actually unlimited, only that the download speed will be lowered slightly. Just in time that SGS2 came, my wife took over my IP4 while i continued with my plan+internet with the SGS2.

Moral of the story - if you are working, try to ask for the corporate plan and get someone from your company to sign. You may have to get a group to sign in with one of your directors signing a form too.
