I am using Villain 1.3 (ZFKF4). battery is good, can last me more than a day based on my daily usage below:

1. 2G
2. Company Exchange
3. Gmail
4. Whatsapp
5. Gtalk
6. Some SMS
7. Some voice call
8. and ETC

what i like most about ZFKF4 is, i can search contact at dial pad easily. I dont find the same feature on other roms. Hence i will stick to ZFKF4.

actually the phone really can last u up to 2-3 days.... but thts if u use super minimal settings la.... dark background, gsm connection, no wifi, 0 brightness....

only use it for calls and sms....

mine amazingly did not reduce 1% at all since 12am - 8am this morning....hehehe.....
*
what's the purpose of having a smart phone and use it like a dumb phone? for me as long as the phone can last the whole day, minimum 12 hours (medium usage) then it would consider OK. Dont expect any smart phone that can last more than 12 hours on heavy usage, currently there is no such phone. heavy as in, a lot of emails, sms, voice, surfing and games.

ya, that why i am curious with my battery performance...
as what you say... minimum 12hrs for heavy usage...
mine is minimum usage... but cant last 11hrs... got what i mean???  rclxub.gif
*
with minimum usage and cant last more than 11 hours? then something must be wrong. i consider myself as minimum or average usage.

1. always on 2g and data sync on 24 hours
2. company exchange email (average 50/day)
3. gmail (average 15/day)
4. whatsapp (20-30)
5. sms (10-20)
6. web surfing with 3G (average 10 minutes)
7. gtalk (20-30)
8. games (non 3d and 3d, average 15 minutes)

with the above usage, it usually can last more than 12 hours for me.

hmmm... i tot maxis exclusive was not that long... earlier on, rumour was that they only got exclusive for 1-2 weeks... or maybe i confused it with sensation... aiyoh... getting old liao...
*
Maxis's exclusivity is usually 1 - 2 months. it has never been 1-2 weeks if you observe past record.

Actually, I too heard that Maxis will be only max 2 weeks. But, after 1 week of selling, phones started to enter market via SEP and all.

I just waiting for DiGi to have it and buy for my gf. If not, she gonna burn my SG2. Everyday as wifi hotspot to buff Tuduo and PPS. Lol...

i think celcom will start selling before digi

What makes you think so? I'm also Celcom user so really hoping they will offer it soon.
Not getting my hope high though, still no Sensation from them when Digi is offering it now.

Digi's coverage no doubt is a pain in ass. i have a lot of friends ported out from digi to maxis or celcom. personally i have tested their speed with celcom, and it kena tapao flat.

+ 1. Digi is slow. i'm on digi and my wife is on maxis and can see the difference.

I think ultimately it depends on your needs and your cost tolerance smile.gif
*
its about customer satisfaction vs money that they pay. i dont mind to have slower data speed (cheap mah) but i mind not able to call out or get called. the coverage is just not there to satisfy my daily usage.

now blaming malaysia pulak. blame yourself liao.. you're the one who doesn't want to queue up during the rm799 offer, you're the one who doesnt want to pre-order early, you're the one who doesnt save 5 months before buying, you're the one who doesnt want to read properly.... and yet, you blame Samsung, Maxis, and Malaysia......''

and, back to topic, tried Villain Rom, its kinda nice with its black theme, but i guess, i just prefer using litening rom more. maybe i'm not that tech whiz to completely understand the purpose of VillainRom, but still...
*
prefer villain 1.3 because search contact on dial pad is better than the European rom. try it then u will know what i am talking about.

ah ya, i tried it because of what you said in the last few posts back..  i can agree the dial pad is better than litening, but, yeah, other than that... i cant see any difference... i'm still using villain, and still figuring out the differences between villain and litening..

search for a post made by Uncle Benny regarding the link in Mudah.My. i didnt save it but that guy got a shop somewhere in KL i guess.. and he is selling original SGS II accesories.... well, i maybe exaggerate the "original" part, but yeah..
*
its all about cosmetic. not much in terms of performance tweaking. if you want to apply some cosmetics, then you can always try UOT kitchen.

I forgot to mention, I once asked the assistant who sold the phone to me on whether Samsung accepts flashed/rooted phones for servicing/warranty claims. To my surprise, she said yes. Need to reconfirm again.
*
there is no clause from samsung indicating that they do not accept modded SGS2 on OS level unlike apple.
