QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jun 24 2011, 10:35 PM) Really noob question guys for a first android user. 1) I tried putting my .mp3 into my music folder but I'm unable to set those into ringtones. 2) How to set SMS ring tones? 3) I tried inserting a HD video to my phone through KIES but I'm unable to see it anywhere in the phone, probably lost somewhere. 4) Guide me where to look for accessories for the phone. 1) Create a folder inside your internal or external storage called "Ringtones" and dump the sound file in there. 2) Create a folder inside your internal or external storage called "Notifications" and dump the sound file in there. 3) Better transfer the video using USB storage mode. KIES has the potential to convert your video to stock player friendly. If you using 3rd party player program, you won't that to happen right? 4) Please specify the accessories and read posts on the first page. ------ Congrats for V6

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jun 24 2011, 10:49 PM) Thanks for the help! For video, I'm not quite sure what you meant though since I am not using a 3rd party player. Do I need to be rooted in order to use these 3rd party videos? I thought the built in video is sufficient to play the videos I'm planning to upload. Anyhow I do not which folder I should dump the videos via USB storage mode. Nope, no need root to enjoy Android apps except selected few laaa. You can copy to either internal or external storage. Just create a folder for better media management. When you unplug the phone from pc, the phone will automatically scan for any new files. If the video file supported, it will be displayed in the video player.

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jun 24 2011, 10:58 PM) No problemo... Enjoy the Neon power in Cortex A9 CPU! QUOTE(rahuldave @ Jun 24 2011, 11:00 PM) Hi I bought my set at Maxis Penang but upon connecting to KIES, I can see message under Firmware Information ' This Version of firmware cannot be updated' Current Firmware Version: PDA:KF1/PHONE:KF1/CSC:KE5 (XME) Any Idea? Do not worry. The Malaysian SME is having the latest firmware for this region and Samsung did not update the firmware signature in the server yet. Emmm... some Samsung phone (like SGA) having problem connecting to some brand of WIFI AP. How about updating your AP firmware? or just stick to WPA. QUOTE(dukunet @ Jun 25 2011, 10:40 AM) if i remember correctly, rooting will not wipe ur data. any sifu can confirm this? if it is true, then u can root, install titanium backup, and can backup all your apps. nothing is loss. Root won't wipe your data. Flashing ROM will if the developers stated their ROM is a wipe version. QUOTE(afad @ Jun 25 2011, 10:44 AM) +1, i also want to know this, if it not really noticeable for daily usage, then i think still can ignore it It's really hard to see the yellowish on the screen coz it will appear only on grey background with lowest brightness. I just replaced it with a black theme. FYI, I have yellowish and pink spot on my phone but I did not care much coz a day without the phone is more suffering and furthermore only on certain condition it appears not all the time.

Use another browser which support desktop mode. -or- Permanent solution, requires root. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126826 only some ROM supported. -or- Temporary solution, using stock browser. Type this at the address bar "about:useragent" without quotes and select your mode. Pls copy the original code before changing the mode. It is a custom string.

QUOTE(Sanity @ Jun 26 2011, 01:18 PM) oh mai . . i put it in the microSD card since the instruction says internal or external . . how shud I put the file into my internal SD card when I have already wipe off the data? Thanks in advance lulz Wipe off data does not delete anything inside your internal or external except from the settings menu if you accidently tick format internal storage. If you still can boot, just transfer using pc. Else you can always use CWM recovery screen to transfer file.

QUOTE(dude06 @ Jun 27 2011, 11:39 PM) Hi All, I saw my other phone charger is rated at Output 5V-1.0A. Our S2 charger is rated at Output 5V-0.7A. The longer time of charging might be due to this but can we use 1.0A charger to charge our batt?? Anyone with any information on this matter? Thanks again... Yes, can use 1A charger. I've been using my old HTC charger which is rated at 1A to charge all my Samsung phones.

QUOTE(dude06 @ Jun 28 2011, 12:00 AM) Is it faster? What about the performance of the batt? Does the batt usage duration improve when used with 1.0A charger??? TQ again.. Only faster charging but it won't improve battery performance thou.
