Microsoft should really change WP7's homescreen which looks like it was designed by a lazy student. Put a WP7 device next to an iPhone, an Android and MeeGo and the homescreen looks really dull.
8. N9 can play flash videos using its media player. But not within the web browse due to the lack of Adobe Flash plugin. (N9 can also play other common video formats. Even 720p MKV files out of the box) Really arh? ______________________________________________________________ 19. Swipe action is disabled in games if the game is programmed to disable it while playing. This can be seen starting at 2:50 into this video. So you don’t have to worry about accidently swiping the game off the screen during gameplay. ______________________________________________________________ 23. Another tidbit on the camera side of the N9. Camera architecture on the N9 is OPEN. Meaning that 3rd party camera apps and RAW access is possible later on.
FCAM ______________________________________________________________ There’s digital zoom up to four times and the camera focus range is from 10 cm to infinity.
Not as good as N900 5cm minimum focus.
High end accesories built to match with N9. N9 is the high-end device for Nokia, for Nokia.
Nokia Play 360
Nokia Wireless Music Receiver MD-310

Nokia's Stephen Elop is still over MeeGo, even if the N9 is a hit
An awful lot has been happening in Nokialand over the past week. A few days ago, we spent our first real quality moments with the much discussed N9, and we were pretty blown away by the MeeGo smartphone. Fast forward a mere two days, and we catch wind of a pretty suspicious looking leak of "Sea Ray," the company's first Windows Phone handset where else but sitting firmly in the hand of CEO Stephen Elop. Just in case that brand of corporate subtlety didn't quite drive the point home, the executive gave an interview with Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat this week, confirming the nearly universal suspicion that it will abandon the Linux-based OS. Elop told the paper that, even if the N9 proves a massive hit, Nokia is going to turn its attention to other, more Windows Mobiley things.

Source Engadget Can someone please get into their senses and fire Elop. He's killing Nokia slowly for Microsoft. Isn't that obvious enough?!

even N9 sales more than 100million,the bast*rd elop still choose wp7 n abandon meego.
If Nokia managed to sell even 1 million N9 think Elop will be fired.
But whatever it is I think it's late to change Elop's plan. The deal with Microsoft is done & Symbian phone sale already suffered heavy beating after the February 11 announcement. It'll cost a lot for Nokia to cancel the deal Microsoft & restart the MeeGo project now that a number of people working on their software side been fired or resigned.
I really don't get Elop. I really hope he's just saying all this to pacify Microsoft, but is really developing other cool stuff in the background.
It makes no sense to just invest in WP7 the OS with the lowest market share after WebOS. It's either Elop and Nokia are getting a lot of cash for the Microsoft deal or Elop's just a Microsoft fanboi.
Either case Nokia's days at the top are numbered. WP7 is even harder to differentiate and customize than Android, so I don't expect many people to switch.

actually WP7 need so many research and throw in so many resource?as i know,wp7 need hardware specified by microsoft, just dump in the hardware as M$ requested n install wp7.done.start selling in the market.other manufacturers are doing the same thing.R&D budget in meego still on going while continue the wp7 project.just simple n easy.

Predicting N9 sales already? Predicting Elop's jump to death?
Meego still have a long way to go. If you have a final product today, you can say it will definitely be hot. Few months down the road, I really wonder though what their reception will be as N9 will be compared directly with next gen iPhone and probably Android 2.4 devices.
