If you have some soldering skills, you can simply open the keyboard and resolder/change the LED.
I have fixed Ducky with poor soldering/ bad PCB...

This is why I always recommend Filco/Leopold only...
I owned/tested most brands in the market to prevent people from getting into such situations but few listen to proper advice...

same experience here. Bad soldering on my LED as well but i only push till it touch the connector not soldering cause i have not solder kit although i know how to used

It's Filco AI 1 + PBT light blue engraved

Nice find! Love the color, but PBT is somewhat heavier compare to filco's ori key caps right?

If you still need to look at your keys, are you sure you are a gamer?

KBC PBT are 1.0g
Filco ABS are 0.8g
It's unnoticeable...

KBC/Ducky are only good for their keycaps. For keyboard, just stay will keyboard OEMed from Costar.

people do need to look at the keys to type also. Don't expect everyone can type without watching the keyboard.

@storm88, 016 is clearly stating in his post that he's just for gaming, he never state anything related to typing. and Squarebox is right in replying 016's statements, if you still look at your keyboard while playing, you will be having hard time in playing games.

Conclusion: people having some problem in expressing nowadays.

hoho,
sorry that i didnt say things clearly. notworthy.gif
what did i try to emphasize on is,

A lot of casual gamer likes to play game with light off. Just at the moment they want to put their finger on the right position, how can he do it?
i believe you're a gamer also, i bet you can understand the situation.

Plus, every gamer do type words during his/her GAMING. especially when he/she is playing online games.
And i not sure how many ppl do touch typing like me, but i think... not many. So how would the gamer wanted to type if he/she cant see?

Trust me, illuminate keyboard do help in this way.

Skype/Ventrilo/Teamspeak is preferred these days.

Pardon me but i guess i have surpassed the stage that requires to look at the keyboard to type, even with the lights off, hehehe tongue.gif

Still, i will go for the Ducky Shine for blings blings, but my mom hates it so i choose a normal one instead.

Think my vote goes to leopold since it has the same quality as Filco, or go for Ducky if you want 1 to 1 exchange for DOA.

I'm leaning towards the Mionix Zibal 60. Perhaps I should wait till someone releases one with red backlight

Leopold will be the best/highest quality you can get with that $$$.

My opinion:
Filco = Highest quality
Leopold = Best value for money

Why no gaming brands? You may ask
Gaming brands are often overpriced and cheapen version of actual mechanical keyboard brands.
