when i was doing burn in the temps reached like nearly 70c based on ABIT EQ.

the thing is i'm not sure who to believe now. DFI board reports my A64 on slightly lower temps than my ABIT board.

i'm on ABIT board now, the DFI can OC a bit better BUT when run dual stick 512mb it sucks. i rather have 1GB @184 than 512mb @238mhz.

EDITED : damn i rebooted and it's now running 1GB @234mhz!!! w00t.

please don't tell me to get 1 stick 1GB cos this goes without saying and mind you i don't grow money on trees. wink.gif thx

The thing is, you need to set everything manually in DFI.

So, when you buy a DFI, don't blame the mobo if you're running things at AUTO...lol laugh.gif

Anyway... here's the result after burn-in.....

2800+ (1600MHz) @ 1.35V

dunno what rpm.... after i take off the LED grill, the rpm seems to be not reading anymore.

but with SmartGuardian, fan speed control set at 84.... with the current setting, full load at 40'C, idle at 36'C with the system temp at around 44'C.

doh.gif alamak, tak habis habis. i hope you're not referring to me cos.............

sooooooooo many times i've already stated for the past pages - I SET IT MANUALLY. smile.gif

both DFI and ABIT i set manually, with same settings one works with dual-sticks and one doesn't. smile.gif you know, i wouldn't be so dumb to accuse DFI of not working properly without actually trying manual settings. wink.gif

U sure u already tweak the alpha memory settings in the bios? AFAIK... Abit mobos dun have these kind of thing.

Give me your full bios setting, the most stable and the highest speed. I help u tweak until DDR600 with 1T... lolz

yes. i would appreciate it if someone could help me out with the DFI memory setting.

but see, that's the thing. if i have to fine-tweak the DFI's details to make it run like my ABIT - then forget it. smile.gif

since the ABIT providing me what i wanted already - then i'll stick to it. save time. smile.gif the DFI will run as 2nd righ with S64 2800+ smile.gif 1 stick 512mb.

just got my nf8 and s64 2800. sadly, it's "Made in China" one, with LBBWE 0545. Now, the technical question, how do i change the multiplier? right now, i only using clockgen, and able to bump the htt to 310 at 1.52v. FSB:DRAM is CPU/10 at cpu-z. really noobie in this sc754 oc. sad.gif . n my temp, it stay at 30c whether it's 1.6G or 2.4G. But will "JUMP" ( not increasing gradually ) to 37c during SuperPi ( 38.44sec ). After it finish calculating, it jump back to 30c. Is this normal?

yup and no... laugh.gif bsides bumpin up d fsb, u cant care less foor d ram speed.. so, alway make sure wats d speed of ur ram...and of course d ram timing in order to get d most stability to ur system.. ermm.. u better see dpinned thread for newbies..

i recommend u not to use clockgen as u already can change d htt at bios... jus my 2 cents..
