Damn, you reminded me of someone else who was also from Atletico.  laugh.gif

Anyway on Maxi, I think he is quite a decent player even though he might be off his prime. To me, he is an exact replacement for Benayoun. Both of them always at the right spot at the right time to score those 'cap ayam' goals. Doesn't have much speed left but his passes/crosses are still pretty good especially against teams that normally park the bus.
*
Benayoun is way more creative than Maxi if you ask me. He is a match winner because unlike Maxi, he could create opportunities on his own. Maxi is simplistic in contrast. Anyway, I'm still kinda sad we lost Yossi. Left for bigger an better things as well but hardly featured.

i believe whoever which team sign, the player might not fit in the system/team

look at Torres , Carroll and Berba now

luckily, Suarez and Miereless is a Hit with us, lets hope Henderson will be another Alonso in the making
*
The case with Caroll, he wasn't 100% fit and just got back from injury. But then again, so is Suarez who just got back from suspension before he join us. The only difference with Suarez IMO was his experience and exposure of playing in the world cup to fit in different playing styles. In saying that, King Kenny's pass-and-move tactic does suits the Uruguayan better.

Of course once King Kenny signs a out and out winger with good crossing ability, he will have another tactical option at his disposal that will accommodate Carroll better.

A defender who can score goals. Reminds me of our beloved Sammi Hyppia.

his form this season is pretty average and dismal at times, few of my arsenal friends was hoping him to get replaced by leighton baines. give choices, i wouldnt want him as well but for $5m, it was a decent purchase

Blood Red: David Ngog can leave Liverpool FC with his head held high

THE great Anfield fire sale looks set to happen this summer, with a number of squad players set to be offloaded.

David Ngog, it seems, is to be the first victim. The Frenchman has been allowed to speak with Sunderland, and should complete his move once he returns from holiday.

And whilst few Reds will be distraught at the young strikers exit, it is worth considering that Ngog performed an admirable role during what will be remembered as a largely turbulent era in Liverpoo'ls history.

His record of 19 goals in 94 games looks, ostensibly, decidedly modest. Yet it should be noted that of those 94 games, only 41 were starts.

Add to that the fact that, more often than not, his job was to step into the boots vacated by the often-fantastic but often-fragile Fernando Torres, and to lead the line alone, and his record is placed into far sharper perspective.

If Ngog leaves, and it appears that he will, he should be remembered for what he is. Not a flop, just a £1.5m striker who worked his socks off for Liverpool, and improved his value enough for the club to make a good profit on his sale.

I don't understand why he is first in the list to be offloaded.

There are much more critical names poulsen, cole, jovanovich, degen and konchesky that needs clearing.

I like ngog and appreciate all he did for us. sad.gif

N'gog is probably more desirable than the rest of them, hence he's the first to be successfully offloaded methinks.
Who would want Poulsen over N'gog???

This ^. Is he a significant improvement to what we currently have, don't think so. Though on the positive side, he has plenty of experience playing in big stages. But I expect some one better for our 1st choice left back. Maybe ok for back-up/2nd choice.

No wonder their baseball team, Boston Red Sox are doing well in the MLB at the moment by trashing NY Yankees a few times already.. It's good to know their philosophy of building a winning team..
