My cousin who works in SCB said the company release another 1000 tickets for staff, she logged into the system after 10mins and there was only 7 tickets left. CRAZY!

So you thinking of putting in a poll as well? With all the hypes and happenings from the media during this summer transfer window, it is impossible to differentiate rumors from actual targets. What about poll on position that needed strengthening? Vote plus player suggestion (realistic one, of course).
Thanks for noticing anyway.. smile.gif

Poll added. Thanks a lot , TheWhacker. biggrin.gif

Funny how right wing doesnt get the same attention as left wing.

IMO both needs class players but i still went with left because our width on the right is provided johnson.

Its as if our left sided players are all cursed with something over the years.

Aurelio, agger,(latest one)carroll always injured.Riera, konchesky, insua, kromkamp and riise just not up to the standards required. sweat.gif

only reliable player we had was arbeloa and Real took him away sweat.gif

I think right wing is not that important just yet considering, we have Kuyt there.

Then, we have Maxi, Gerrard, Henderson all able to play there.

Left wing is a bit out of space. So, I think we need more reinforcement there. Adam can play there. Downing will be a better option though with his crossing looks delicious for Carrol. biggrin.gif

we can put kuyt / gerrard to the right since meireles can take the CAM and caroll suarez at the front
left back we have aurellio ( he's good when fit) johnson and Jack robinson

I actually think Aurelio is better than Riise. It's just that he is too weak and fragile that I worry most of the time that he will be injured when he went in for tackles. Surprised me that he didnt break his own leg when he lunged in on Adam Johnson last season. laugh.gif tongue.gif

This , you have to ask hfi. He is a huge fans of Maxi.

To me, Maxi is a good squad player. Since he didn't whine much and happily settle for his wage on bench while doing some magic coming off the bench, I would rather he stays in the team. No point selling him off when we clearly need more depth in our squad. The fact that he is versatile just add an extra point. He can play left, right , middle and as second striker. So, why not? nod.gif

I dont know. When he first signed i thought he would be the solution of our left wing problem. But it worsened.

Thing is he doesnt create chances enough in any of those positions you mentioned. All of those positions require creative and flair players

who can make defence splitting passes.I am yet to see any 'magic' like you said.He took his chances when he scored the two hattrick

but that is role of a ST(kuyt, carroll). He simply goes missing when the team is not playing well. The magic that you said will have to be

coming up with something when the team is playing poorly or unable to penetrate defenses.

I heard he is on 50k a week and that is just wasting a spot for the younger players.LFC needs clear deadwood.

End of the long winded story above,i think we should trade in maxi for aguero laugh.gif

I dunno about you but I would rather taking Maxi anyday than someone who often missed a sitter, given the chance to score. At least, he grabbed the chance, no? Talking about some N'Gog, some Babel and some Robbie Keane here. tongue.gif

Clearly, at some point of the season, around dec, quite often, we saw Maxi missing sitter but at the end of season, he had been marvelous. We need experienced player. Clubs like Juventus, Ac Milan, Roma, ManUtd are keeping their veteran players so as to allow them to coach the young one. We should do the same too.

And what makes you think that A.Madrid want to take Maxi back when they offered him to us for virtually nothing. He came in free(or close to free) if I remember clearly. biggrin.gif

Talk about sitters,i hope you watched the chelsea game at stamford bridge doh.gif

Exactly my point like u said.Nobody would let quality go on a cheap.

He is past his best.Better to let the youth take over.I doubt he features in first team plan.

Btw,the maxi for aguero thing was a joke.I didnt know you took it seriously.

Ngog,Babel all had potential and scored important goals for us especially against united.

Keane was a proven scorer before he came here but i swear i dont know wad happened to him.

My guess is maxi will be gone before the start of 2012-2013 season latest.

Maxi is also a very good finisher who can score goals from right, left and middle of the park. Though he's crossing and passing ability is not as good. That's why we need player like Mata (speed) and Downing (crossing and set pieces) to complement our 2 strikers..
