my personal opinion is right foot also play a big factor in FC.

I tried 2-3k rpm rev only for 31.5l of petrol i got 336km. 100% city auto.
tat is 10.6km/l

where i used to rev 3-4k rpm rev, 26.3l i got around 260km only max. which is 9.88km/l biggrin.gif

are the other factors consistent?

The Good Year Ducaro tyres really suck...a LOT.

It was raining the other day and I was driving casually until one guy suddenly decided to change lanes without signalling, I slammed on the brakes and guess what, my car skidded a bit.

Absolutely no grip in the wet. Proton could have at least given better tyres especially for the Saga SE.

Yup, as yu said correctly...Proton could hv given better tyres... wink.gif
However, that wld hv increased the SP of yr SE! Agreed?
Proton knows that owners who want better tyres cld juz easily pop into tyre shop & get their preferred choice of tyres! Cos buyers might not like even Proton's choice of "better" tyres! Haha! rclxm9.gif

this is why they make BLM in the 1st place and make it so cheap
they cut off the ones that buyers can install it outside which have more choices and brands
like the 1st BLM...they cut off soundproof, tint which can be installed outside with more varieties
different brand, quality...some might prefer expensive tint...etc etc
they also cut away things that usually will be there but really unnecessary
like the holder at the top of the driver's door, rear power window....to cut cost

For ICE & sound acc, yr own ear is the BEST judge! Test it. Listen to its output. Then if yu like it, buy it...if it's within yr budget. icon_idea.gif

Was using XM1 in ole ride. Very lasting, good roadholding BUT kinda noisy... sad.gif

XM2 supposed 2b better. True?

Added on June 22, 2011, 8:44 amMy FL now shod with GY Ducaro. Ok la. However, appears some ppl found grip in wet lacking?

I'm considering getting the Michelin XM2s as well. Not sure how it costs cause couldn't find much info in the tire price thread. Too much spam there.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jun 20 2011, 11:41 PM)
Ok boss I should try and see. I normally pump 210 or 205. You pump all tyres 220?
*
Yeah. Actually I should pump the rear less, but I'm lazy. lol. After all the reading I've been doing lately, I think I'll try and do that and see if it helps my car in corners.

QUOTE(jeffro @ Jun 21 2011, 10:39 AM)
After few weeks on the road, my SAGA FL, managed to get 300km in 30L  rclxm9.gif  but the fuel indicator is dumb, blinking so far ahead, scared me as i've traveled about 30+km while its blinking... then pump in fuel tank only to know that it's 29.xx L, like it doesnt want me to use the balance 10L fuel only  doh.gif
*
I think as long as you're not stuck in a massive jam, 50km after the light comes on is safe. I don't dare to try more than that. I normally aim for around 30km and start looking for a pump already.

QUOTE(jeffro @ Jun 21 2011, 10:42 AM)
depending on how you drive though.. if light footed (and a mix of medium foot strength too), you'll feel underpowered (especially going up hill)..

But I compared with myvi 1.3... the myvi can accelerate faster than the Saga (even with me pedaling to the medal) but I can go at a higher speed compared to myvi.. i can easily reach 110-130, but myvi will start slowing at about 90-100... so the Saga FL is gd for traveling I guess.. the longer it travels the more you see the efficiency on the FC smile.gif
*
Yeah, the Saga is a good cruiser. It just needs that bit of insulation and better tires. Also, people who think the Proton/Lotus Handling is a mere marketing gimmick should really test drive Proton cars.

QUOTE(LizStephenie @ Jun 21 2011, 04:48 PM)
Always using Mobile or Esso.

Before resetting the ECU, tried 3 tanks of petronas primax95 extra. No improvement or whatsoever on the FC.
*
1) I'm not sure if I've told you before, but do you maintain your tire pressure regularly or not? Try pumping 210-220kpa every two weeks. My FC used to be rubbish (around 8km/l) but since I cut down the hard revving and started maintaining the tire pressure properly, I can get 10++km/l now.

2) Does your engine have a "tak tak tak" sound? In extreme cases, a broken IAFM might cause worse FC.

3) What the others like eric and zeone listed, are true as well.

You think those are bad? Wait till you try the Silverstones on my car. Rubbish.

I personally prefer Morel, Focal or Boston Acoustics. Unfortunately they're expensive. That's why I still don't have one. sad.gif

Maybe the ECU got reset? Or they remapped it for you. Mind, they did something and my car felt sooooo good after that.

Congratz, btw fr getting your car back. lol.

QUOTE(sam9557 @ Jun 21 2011, 05:49 PM)
10w-40 olso thick oil. The measurment it last no 40 which ist refer as 40 weight oil at operating temp. 30 weight oil is better for fc & performance. Small car as viva & kancil use this type engine oil. This not harm your engine unless your engine was high milage as 200k km.. Just try it. Petronas syntium offer 5w - 30 / 4liter for rm97.00
*

This oil is fully synthetic is it? and is that latest price? and how the get ECU reset? COE need to do appointment? thnx guys icon_rolleyes.gif

That is semi syntetic oil. Syntium 800 5w-30. Price is RM97.00 for 4liter pack. The fully syntetic I Think is Syntium 3000 0w-30 if I'm not wrong. The price is RM200 +.
