Why do people wanna use until tank empty? What purpose does it serves? It does nothing except maybe blowing up your pump and cost you a hefty repair....doh.gif .....There is more easier and more accurate way to calculate fuel consumption which is simply record the last mileage trip against the amount of fuel you currently pump.
*
oh it's not about using until empty, it's about knowing how far can go with a real full tank.. cant really see it if only use up to 3/4 tank all the time.. like myvi 1.0 manual, it can go up to 560km/40L smile.gif

Yeah, even on the manual the torque only starts to kick in at about 2.5-3k RPM so the initial acceleration is a bit sluggish. And I agree with you on the highway drive. The other week we were in a convoy, the other car was a manual Myvi with five girls inside, mine had four larger than average guys and one lady (with the extra ~100 kg kerb weight + the guys, my car was obviously a lot heavier than the Myvi).  We were chasing the lead car, an empty LMST. I kept up with the lead car easily but the girls had to radio and tell us not to "F1" too much tongue.gif

I want to test drive both the 1.3 and 1.6 auto BLMs. Any volunteers? brows.gif

hahaha try the saga fl running at 80-90 and do cornering! tongue.gif I'm enjoying my ride, kinda changed a lil of my perception on proton cars.. but then of course, it's still new... whistling.gif

my dad said that he could not stand me keep complaining the awful FC then took my car to his friend's workshop to tuned it for a better FC.

i did not know that we can tune the car for better FC also until my dad told me the story...

so tuning a car for a better FC is nonsense?

no....i dn't think so
there is no tuning
i think the only way is to reset the ECU and drive with different driving style
see which one performs best
try driving above 80KM/H...the FC would be better
