now comes the question...

I asked for the installer to put the CPE and router in my room...

If I were to watch the IPTV,

Can I;

-Buy a repeater, then put the repeater next to my tv (which is in the living room around 10m from my room with no walls) connect the IPTV box to my TV and to the repeater LAN port?

p/s: I tried pluggin the IPTV box to my monitor via HDMI to DVI cable (22" LCD 1680x1050) in my room, but it says, OUT OF RANGE sad.gif

IPTV is different VLAN. If you can plug in router to DLink Lan 4, than use connect another router to that Wifi as client than can use wifi. Most people just use Homeplug.

As for IPTV Box, only support 1080i or 720p. If you monitor support 720p can the output to 720p.

I tried before on 2 units of TL-WR941ND for IPTV, even on pure-N, still no luck, it's still lag not sure why ... guess may have to try on 5GHz band, 2 units of RT-N56U may be?! ..... sweat.gif

If your house is single-phase, can consider home-plug for the IPTV, if 3-phase wiring, both socket need to be on same phase. nod.gif

Does Unifi bill payment through maybank2u work?

I have used their occ portal to pay using my credit card before.... and the payment went through, got charged by bank, and the status on the occ portal still remained unpaid!! I had to call them more than 10 times over the course of 1 month to FINALLY get them to acknowledge that I paid and subsequently update the payment history.

Since then I've been paying it over TM Point counters. But I've been thinking perhaps paying by maybank2u won't give me the same kind of trouble I ran into with payment via their portal.

What's your experience with paying unifi bills via maybank2u?
*
I tried using the portal in the early days, never worked. Since then I have been paying thru MB2U. You can pay using ur cc thru MB2U instead. Give it 2-3 days and the payment will be in their system and also updated in the coming bill.

Do you guys notice any difference between 110 and 175 IP? It feels that the 175 IP is a bit slower for me. tongue.gif

i use uTorrent 2.2.1...at first, the usual 50-80kbps dw speed but after nearly an hour or so and reading from http://unifi.athena.my/router_config.html and some from here http://klseet.com/.... I'd port forwarded and did a couple of changes in terms of security and wireless setup...I managed to hit 500+kbps from torrent...
