i probably going to Japan next month, wondering how much it going to cost if i using Maxis 3G data roaming?

or other better way to get cheaper communication channel?

You might want to check out the prepaid data SIM offerings from B-mobile. So far, the 1GB data SIM is the most worth it and it'll definitely be cheaper than roaming on 3G with any telco.

http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/market/index.html

It's in Japanese but you just need to be a bit resourceful and use Google Translate to figure out the terms and conditions.

I've wrote a short post about this in the previous version thread (this is before they have the 1GB data SIM) -

Hi guys. Got a problem here. Hope the senpais here can help.

Currently in Tokyo, but need to extend my stay till the end of March. And my visa expires at the end of February. I'm only holding a visitor visa. So, I'm wondering if I can renew/apply for a new visa at the Malaysian embassy in Tokyo.

I'm looking for an alternative instead of traveling back to KL to get my visa renewed.

Thanks!

Hi need advice on transportation. My need to reach KIX at 730 or early to catch my flight back home. Where should I stay in Osaka in order have a easy transportation. I am thinking going to the OCAT and take early bus to KIX. Compare to take train and which one is easier for luggage storage and access?
It is enjoyable renting a bike at kyoto area? Parking bike at those tourist area need to pay? how about deparment store area. Thx

Thanks for the tip. Tried that and they said I need to contact the Japan Immigration office.

Tried as well and I MUST go back to Malaysia to get the visa renewed. Aiseh.. More hours wasted on the plane sweat.gif

On the bright side, I get to warm up back home for a few days before heading back here.

Thanks!

3G? Although your phone bill is going to skyrocket in a few hours.

Best bet is to have a hotel with free internet access.
