I will be travel to Jap via KIX, Osaka for 13 days, hope to cover most kansai area, kyoto, kobe, nara, and then head to tokyo. I guess i need to get a 14 days Railway Pass. Do i need to have mobile internet despite the availability of wifi?

I can told you living in Tokyo will be like this.

Gas , Renter , Tel , Water , electrical bill one month roughly is around 20-25,000 Yen // RM994.  Without any Food or transport , your personal etc etc yet.

If living in small city the rental will cheaper but not much only.  still will cost around 15-20k // RM795.
One 4 - 5 scale earthquake come...alot your furniture will rosak...alot alot thing in house need repair.  I can told you Even i work as Aircraft Engineer also boleh tahan tahan survive in Tokyo without do another 2nd part time job which alot Japanese living in Tokyo are doing 2 - 3 Job.  Morning one job in office then Night one more Job in restraurant.

End up...still living in Malaysia more better than Japan...emm ..For me Vacation at Japan are Best.... Stay there? hell no
