Just got mine @ maybankard centre 1utama.. Show IC & my previous mbb cc.. Go jalan2, 1 hour receive card..

I just call to Maybank CS to cancel my existing Visa Petronas card since I already have the Maybank 2 cards. I was told to go to Maybank card centre instead for the transaction or fax the picture of the card after cutting. Is that the correct procedure since I'm new in this.

If yes, would prefer to do it at card centre then. Guess i have to drop by 1U soon then before they start charging the GST since my gonna expire on July

The branch staff told just give a call to Maybank CS and didn't mention about picture of cutting the card.

Perhaps you go do the cancellation at any nearest branch.

From my experience of cancelling 2 cards.

Card 1: Received a CC card physically. I din't apply for this card. Immediately call the CS and they cancel the card without me going to the branch. Card is still uncut. I keep it as souvenir.

Card 2: In-use card that I have been using for 2 years. CS insist I go to their branch to have the card cut. No picture taken. End of the process, I also get to keep the part of the card as souvenir. The cute lady insist I must take part of the cut card with chip. Should be part of their procedure.

Both cards are from Maybank.

I have cancelled 3 MBB CC and all three of them are done at the branch.

is better to do it at the branch..u can straight forward scold them if got any problem..hahhaa

yes, better do it at the branch. terminated 2 DA & 1 CIMB DA & 1 MBB at branch. just filled up the form & showed IC then done.

Just called CS to cancel my Visa Petronas.

The CS told me to go to the nearest and fill up a cancellation form.

No integrity between MBB staffs (CS and branch staffs).

How come? I managed to cancel my MBB Petronas and AMEX Gold CC over the phone this year.

I just cancelled my MBB Master recently by sending an email to Maybank card service. No form to fill up.

I guess no standardization in their procedure then. Some mention can cancel through phone, some say need go card center.

Thus you need to call many times until you get a consistent answer from MBB's Customer Service officer

Guys, I just woke up and my mind is not yet fresh.

So, my statement date is every month's 24th.
My payment due date is 14th the following month.

So I swiped something on the 1st this month, do I need to pay the amount before 14th?

No right, it should due only next month's 14th? Am I right?

I can pay but just don't wanna pay something which still has 1 month plus before due date.

Retail spends on 1 July will be due in 14 August.
Eg.
14 July 2011's Due Date is for Statement of retail transactions from 25 May to 24 June 2011.
14 August 2011's Due Date is for Statement of retail transactions from 25 June to 24 July 2011.

technically u r correct..but if u r rich then u can pay 1st also..hahaha

Your payment due date for the transaction is on 14 August. This is what i love about credit cards, can earn 1 month plus interest before paying for the transaction

I always over pay my credit card because of the cashback.

The Cashback from Maybankard2 is confirmed to be payment to your CC.
Next time, pay your CC after 2nd of every month (to ensure the rebate has been taken into consideration)

Previously MBB CC can be canceled over phone. These are the ones I'm still keeping after canceled:
- Flex
- Amex Gold Charge Card
- Amex Gold Credit Card

This year (2011), need to goto CS counter to cut or cut+pic+fax over to them in order to cancel:
- Petronas Visa
