I cancelled my SonyCard (FIFA world cup edition) via a fax and follow-up call only.

what i did is photocopy the card and then cut the photocopy
after that fax the cancellation letter with the photocopy

yesterday i received sms said that my application for maybankard already approve and i check in my maybank2u.. it already there

so when actually i can get my cards?? 1 weeks from now?? or they will call up to inform us to come to get the cards??

I did thought of that, but the cut-portion shadow will look quite obvious

that's a good trick. I am going to cancel my Visa Petronas too and the CS told me the same thing : go card center to cancel or fax them a copy of the cut card.

As the Visa Petronas is my first CC, it do have sentimental value heart pain if cut it either myself or card center employee.

But personally would prefer to go card center for cancellation as i think will be faster processing (along can request to cancel the CC acc from M2U and transfer the TP). But surely they'll cut the card there and then right?

Can be on the next day too. My mom received an sms from Maybank last night that her application for MBB2 is approved. And guess what ? Poslaju came about an hour ago

Anyway, this means we can save more money from now on However, there is one bad news. The credit limit assigned to my mom is shocking. I mean shockingly low! She was a Maybankard holder 3 years ago and her credit limit then was higher. I helped her to apply using her salary slips and her salary is actually higher than it was 3 years ago. She is not subject to the 2 credit card issuers ruling, by the way.

You can try to ask for a CL increase by writing in to mbbcardservices@maybank.com.my and attached scanned copy of last 2 months salary slips. That was how I did. I managed to get the CL increase that I wanted.

Based on my experience, MB is using the old salary when assigning CL for existing card holder. Either they are lazy to
update the system or due to some other reasons known to them.

Yesterday, I received a phone call from this number 03-78491300.

They asked my permission to buy credit card insurance i think....RM90 per year, said can claim this and that...

and they knew my name, and what card do I use now, they also asking for my IC and mailing address.

They will use my credit card number to buy this service....they said Maybank asked them to call me.

The caller is from 3PP, anyone heard that before???

How much is shockingly low? Mine they give about 1.5X my salary only.

so it that fake?? I already agreed to buy, feel so wrong now.

^ if you really dont need that card insurance thingy, maybe you can call that agent again to reverse the subscription...maybe contact maybank too..

I have been doing what you did previously until I realise the Cash-Back Rebate is consider as payment.
Now I will pay Statement Amount - Cash-Back Rebate ...

Just really low that caught me by surprise. They gave her higher credit limit last time. It was for the Maybankard Gold AMEX.

just call maybank to ask about it
